South Reading Surgery

If I could give this surgery a minus rating that wouldn't suffice.The receptionist has no manners at all and the Doctors are just as bad. A complete lack of empathy towards what patients are going through. For somebody that doesn't want to waste medical professionals time by calling 999 or taking up a space in A and E, I am disgusted by the treatment I have recieved today. I was told there were no appointments and even after been referred by 111 was still told they would not accommodate me. I will be changing from this service provider immediately and would suggest others do the same.

To be honest, for such a staff I would not give even a 1 star! I have never seen such unfriendly and unprofessional receptionist who have no manners to talk to a patient!!!! I experienced it with a lady there called Clair and she was extremely disrespectful and unhelpful. I would not recommend anyone to register with such unprofessionals!

If I could give 0 stars I would! Called first thing this morning for my son who is very poorly and has tonsillitis to ask for a telephone call to get him a prescription I was told there are no appointments available and to take him to a walk in clinic (he can’t get out of bed) and I don’t drive! Can’t even fit in a 1 min phone call for a sick child! Disgusting!

As with the NHS in general. I had to register as outpatient as I'm visiting friends. I was treated as expected and everything working as expected. Long phone times in morning to get appointments... but I've experienced that everywhere since COVID. Nice nurses and receptionist from my point of view. Haven't needed doctor yet.

Was asked to make an appointment after emailing the doctor, have tried to ring ,was first in the que ,on hold for 15mins , hung up and tried again 2nd in que now , decided to walk to the surgery 5mins away , got there told I could not make an appointment as was full for the next few days, was told to ring ,( what's the point if they are not answering the phone) , will have to attend hospital now , shouldn't be allowed to have a surgery if your not going to see people .

If 0 stars was an option I would of gave 0, i have just registered to another surgery for me and my children, for the last 5 years this surgery has gone terribly down hill, firstly the reception staff (apart from cleo) are so un helpful and miserable which has an effect on everyone they speak to (see other reviews) ...if you are one of the lucky few that gets a call back from aGP" they constantly talk over you

I recently called South Reading Surgery and was put on hold for 20 minutes. When I finally got through to the receptionist, I was met with a grumpy and unhelpful attitude, which unfortunately is typical for every interaction I've had with them. This kind of consistently poor service is unacceptable, and if I could score zero stars, I would. I hope the staff at South Reading Surgery can take steps to improve their customer service and treat patients with more respect and kindness.

Very bad experience with receptionist and GP both. On Thursday I have called but no one has answered. Then I have phoned up again on Friday 18/11/22, got in the queue for one hour and answer was no fave to face appointments available with such a rude behaviour by receptionist. After arguing with a receptionist, she said to me that GP will call you and your phone appointment has been booked so you will get a call during lunch time but never got a call from GP till 6pm.They need to understand that they are not selling perfumes or mobiles in a surgery, it's a matter of someone's wellbeing but they will never understand at all. If there is an option to give them zero I would love to give them zero rating.

This surgery does not even deserve one star but I can’t give less. You can not ever get an appointment even when it’s the doctors that ask you to make one.They are a total joke!
