Browsing around the almost Parisian feel of 'The Ferry' (as it's widely known)on the sunniest day this year so far, my lady and I walked into The Royal Arch at the northern end of Gray Street ... a well kept and obviously well-beloved establishment. First time for me ... but the wife, of course, had three times previously with three different members of her band of cronies, graced this fine pub with her custom and favour.  We had fish, prawns, salad, chips, bread, bannocks and coke that were as good as the best of any pub ... but turned out even better for the rapid first-class manner by which they were served.  The place was spotless and interestingly decorated with more than a nod to Art Deco and The Tay Estuary at the southern end of town. The joint was busy but capably handled by a pair of friendly astute young girls who ably constucted our path through post-lockdown pub attendance with serious aplomb.  All in all, a great success.  It's well refreshing to note that, at least in Royal Arch Land, value for money, creditable cheer, civility and the publican's traditional warm welcome are still around in these truly unconventional times.

Went in for a drink and food after hearing good reviews about the place. Girl came over and took our drinks order and brought drinks over and asked what we would like to eat. We gave her our order and sat and sat and sat waiting on food to arrive. We finished our drinks and decidednot to wait any longer and asked for the drinks bill and complained about waiting so long. Server said oh I didn't realise you wanted food and this was the server who took our order. Managers reply was She got caught up in other things. The place was empty. Definitely won't be back.

Decided to try here for dinner, bad move, ordered a Southern fried chicken burger with chips and salad. The burger was horrendous,no flavour, definitely not Southern fried ,more like birds eye frozen, from the local supermarket, the salad was without any kind of dressing,my wife had scampi and chips ,these two meals took a whole 10 mins to prepare/cook/serve,very worrying. They do have a nice looking menu, but would stay clear of the so called southern fried chicken burger.

Had a great visit here with my father and little brother. It's a smaller/cosy bar with some great food. My dad had the curry which he said was delicious, I had the cheese platter with chips myself which was very good and also a plus coming from the cheesery. The man who served us, who I believe was called Jamie was very polite and also good with my little brother. Also had good service from the lady who was working, but I didn't catch her name. Will happily return on another day out.

Been here a few times over the years. Friendly and cosy restaurant, good portion sizes, service and value for money. The bar is worth a visit also!

The two times I have been in the place is very friendly and inviting, dog friendly too so perfect for after a nice walk on the beach. Very good quality food with reasonable wait times that ensures quality and value for money. They do sometimes need to stop serving meals as to maintain their high standards, but I thoroughly appreciate this and ensures you get great service. Reasonable prices, £27 for two meals and soft drinks. Would happily return, would love if they offered water for the dog, but I know I could ask without a bother.
