One of the best burgers I've ever had! The dishes my friends had were also beautifully presented and they all said their food was exceptional, as well. I highly recommend this place.Edit 2 years later: Having thought about it more, it was THE best burger I've ever had. I've found that I discuss it with people at random every now and then. As I started adding this edit, I noticed that Google says they're permanently closed now. I was looking forward to getting another one of those burgers during my next visit to N. Ireland. So sad...

Rooms were large, clean and very comfortable and it is very near Castle Espie and well situated for exploring Strangford Lough. The Ulster fry for breakfast was excellent.

Lovely location not too far from Belfast set in very peaceful surroundings. Beautiful room, very well decorated. Terri served a delicious breakfast. Dinner in the nearby Poachers pocket is a must plus a visit to the monastic site a short drive away.on Strangford Lough.

Hosts Avril and Terry were lovely but the property is very tired and really dated. You would think your in a residential nursing home. Bed not very comfortable... Had a sore back next day... We both did. Breakfast was fantastic couldn't fault it. If your wanting a luxury stay this isnt for you. Very basic B&B but I have to say the hosts couldn't do more. Just my opinion.

We had lunch for four in The Old Schoolhouse 14/08/2016.There was a wide selection of aperitifs including an extensive gin menu. The food was fabulous and beautifully presented. Considering the standard of cuisine it was great value for money. The staff were very attentive but not intrusive. Congratulations to all the staff. We can't wait to return.Clifford Lowry

I think this is the best restaurant in Northern Ireland and entirely worth making the journey for. The food is Michelin star quality but at very reasonable prices. I've been 5 times now and will continue to make the journey every opportunity.(Picture is of 'corned venison' starter. Delicious.)

The location is quiet, the rooms were very nice and comfortable. I enjoyed the feeling of staying in a home-like atmosphere. Breakfast was very delicious and contained several items that were served from vegetables and fruits that were grown in the garden out back. The host and hostess were the perfect touch to a great night spent at their Inn.

It is a beautiful quite and peaceful place approximately 3 miles from Comber. Hosts are so welcoming and so friendly. It is much easier with own transport. Taxis are available but require booking to about an hour in advance. I recommend The Old Schoolhouse Inn.

The Old Schoolhouse Inn is off the beaten track but worth going out of your way to visit. As the name suggests it is an old school building that has been renovated and given a new life. The atmosphere is modern, clean and relaxing while staying in keeping with the old buildings roots. The service throughout our evening was excellent. The menu contains fresh ingredients with some items picked nearby. The attention to fresh quality makes the food stand out. The salmon starter was tasty. The sirloin main was cooked to a perfect, juicy medium. Other members of the party rated the fish and chips as the best they've ever tasted. The chef's take on an toffee apple is surprising and tastes superb.I can highly recommend The Old Schoolhouse Inn for dinner.
