Quirky Campers - Campervan Hire

I love the range and variety of vans in the Quirky Camper fleet (and have rented 10!), but sometimes a van rental experience stands out above the already wonderfully high standard. This was my unexpected experience with Ferdinand and his lovely owners, Eva and Martin. Vans are mechanical things with lots of moving parts and sometimes something (unfortunate for all) doesn’t work. That happens.So I found myself, foreigner with heavy backpack in unknown region en route to my ferry to Ireland without transportation, bed, bathroom, kitchen etc (all the reasons we love campervans!) Reaching out to a few available vans nearby, Eva enters the scene. Fast, efficient, solution- and detail-oriented, solving every little obstacle sometimes before I knew there was an obstacle, with a smile. And spot-on suggestions.Then there’s Ferdinand. ❤️ Drives like a very well-maintained car, easy to park, great storage/kitchen and systems that are super easy to use with just what you need, right where you think it should be, no frilly or breakable things to get in the way, but all charm, beauty, ease and comfort. The rock n roll bed was surprisingly easy to use, and while maybe a bit narrow for two large people, allows tall people to sleep comfortably and the ability for two bikes to stand up in the garage. I had thought the forest image along the kitchen might be odd, but instead made the interior feel much bigger and cozier while also allowing for much better insulation. Cool in summer, warm in winter…I can’t say enough good things about this van experience.Oh…But I can! As I am designing my own van, I had questions at the end. In typical Eva/Martin style, prompt answers arrived with links, model #’s, photos and thoughts on their purchases.Summary? Rent this van if you want excellent customer service (way above and beyond), and a van that is in great shape where everything is easy, durable, BEAUTIFULLY crafted, furnished and superbly considered. You can tell this was their home, not just a cute vehicle. "
