Cafe Mauresque
The ambience and decor is amazing and you really feel like you're in Morocco. Its really cosy (and you can comfortably be socially distanced). The food was great and there were many vegan options. The houmous, aubergine stew, calamari and pork belly were top notch, everything was well seasoned. Tea was a bit over priced.

Good food, Great service, beautiful atmosphere. This cozy restaurant offers large and small dishes of Spain and Morocco and is great for tapas and tangines. Loved the separate vegan menu with a plethora of choices. While I prefer food with a little more spiciness and flavor, everything here was fresh and appetizing. Very lovely staff. Beautiful, authentic decor and music.

Very nice! Loved the atmosphere and the cushioned seats! Food was very tasty and friendly staff, we went to Canterbury for the day and really glad we came across this place!

This is a great little restaurant. The manager was very accommodating and able to give us a table on a busy Friday evening at short notice. There is a good mixture of mezze and big plates. The staff are also super friendly and attentive. Overall would highly recommend!

First time I have been here in a while and I must say I think standards have slipped. Our waiter was pretty useless and was not very attentive. The food was ok but not as good as it used to be. It’s still a nice setting but the staff didn’t seem to care about the customers. On the whole I was very disappointed by my recent experience which is a shame as I used to rave about this place. And have change my rating from 5* to 3*.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Food was ok, not very special but good quality. Chives on every dish though, which was not specified in the ingredients. Downstairs looks great but felt warm even though there weren't many guests at the time.

We had the tapas dishes which were more Spanish inspired. Every dish was good and we had some house wine as well.We wanted to book a table over the phone but there were none available at the time. In the end, we managed to get a table without a booking or queuing. It was overall a nice environment and dinner.

Disappointed. I ordered Lamb Tagine, but the meat was not soft enough and the specific bad smell of lamb was not removed. I also ordered glass wine and the waiter did not ask anything just brought me a large glass, that’s the double of my normal volume. Besides that, there was no bread, olive oil served before the main dish. Will not come back again.

Food was delicious and highly recommend, however it was very warm when sat downstairs. The seat I had was on the right next to a wall which was very small and not very comfortable. It was not very busy but if it was full I'd feel a bit claustrophobic. Besides that, very nice decoration and you no longer felt like you were in Canterbury but on holiday!
