Service can be slow, lacks atmosphere, often don't have the requested drink.. Beer garden is nice and my OH really likes it, so I'm a reluctant regular.

One of the best bar/clubs in Darlington. Always a warm welcome Top door men and always good music by papa v and davie g the toilet man is a top man. Always worth a visit this place. Bar staff are alway attentive and observant. First class Always

I love the outside area here and the staff are lovely.....but it does get very busy late on and, as I wasn't drunk, I found it a shame that most if same songs were played 2 or 3 times throughout the night

Had a bad experience with the bouncers there. Very ill mannered. Drinks are decently priced and the music was quite good but at the end of the day the staff made the experience unpleasant.

Went in The Gate at end of July, Saturday tea time, on hen do, all bought cocktails, 2 for 1, lovely , great staff. Went in yesterday with husband about same time asked if cocktails were 2 for 1 to be told 'NO', same staff, older guy, rude. So different attitude from a group of girls to a couple!!!!

The Gate
One of the best pub and nightclub in darlington. Excellent customer service delivery. the prices are fair. The Gate is opened everyday except on a tuesday. The doorman and bouncers are top notch, and the staff always ensure that customers are well attended to. I will surely recommend The Gate for anyone for an exquisite nightlife.
