Poor service today and rude assistant. I went in to verify a business account which has been with them for years. To be told they can't see me due to the influx in students. Fair enough, so I ask how long is the wait? I don't know, OK can I make an appointment? To be told I'm not sure when we can fit you in. Walked out fuming will be going elsewhere!

I’ve recently moved to the north east and the HSBC bank where I live has been closed down. I have needed personal support three times now which couldn’t be provided on line or over the phone. The staff in the Middlesbrough Branch have provided an excellent first class service, always with a genuine willingness to help and a smile.You don’t get this service from a machine in a banking hub.

Always understaffed. The staff that are present state they'll just be a minute and ne you stood there for half an hour so I walked out and walked into batclays and opened an account with them, I'd still be waiting to be seen at HSBC. The chubby lady with glasses is ignorant BTW.

Recently visited HSBC Middlesbrough regarding a problem with account opening. The customer service was so good. Mr. Andrew helped us and resolved the problem within minutes. We are so happy. Most recommended bank in Middlesbrough.
