Best Western Plus Bentley Hotel & Spa

Went to the spa and was very disappointed. So much so the person who gifted me the spa and afternoon tea is trying to get reimbursed. Run down, tiles missing, equipment faulty, pool is arctic and all the surrounding grates were broken. Alot of sand at the bottom of the pool. Steam room broken, sauna not on in pool area. Shower in spa broken down, hairdryers faulty!Afternoon tea was appalling. Very small portions, tastless, crockery unclean.Just give this place the widest birth you can!

Unfortunately we had a very disappointing experience. We booked this place for our wedding night and when we arrived the room was freezing!Breakfast was a let down as the restaurant does not provide ketchup.The facilities such as the pool and jacuzzi were a nice touch but the pool was very cold and it would have been better to have a clock in the pool area.

No plates with our 11 am pastry basket. Had to go downstairs and hunt staff for an extra cup of coffee. No one came and checked things, whether it was the coffee, afternoon tea and mud treatment. No staff around after the Mud Treatment. Could have done with a small towel to wipe eyes during mud treatment but no one was around to askRain Shower has not worked for weeksSmall cramped sauna not a good feel factor, when your in thereSteam room is excellentNeeds to improve the serviceChanging the Massages from a Back to a Neck and Shoulder was not a good change for my husband who enjoys going to the spa for his back massage. Left him with sore upper arms and disappointment with the dayThe spa wasn't busy. Very disappointedWent on a Groupon voucher and they changed the Back Massage to Head Neck and Shoulder, which my husband wasn't impressedMix up with times with Mud Treatment, Would have been nice if the staff had picked up that I was having a facial and the Mud Treatment also covered the face

Rooms are alright.If you like eating cardboard, then go eat there.Also if you like to have your drink missing all the time with the waiter trying to avoid you then by all means.Overall, a good place to sleep and take a huge dump.

Just had a spa day at this hotel. From start to finish it was great. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The facilities were first class with all the mod cons. The afternoon tea was also good but we were not over faced (which was a good thing).We will be returning very soon.

Noisy room, could hear a fart in the next room. Shower either HOT or ice cold. Plus the road noise was pretty dreadful. Food at the hotel is… well like the rest of the hotel dated, tasted reheated.Staff were pretty good, but they seemed stretched at times so had little time to be attentive.Location was good for where I needed to be.

Finding the entrance was tricky in the dark and rain. Having turned off the road the approach was winding and poorly lit/marked.When we arrived, cold and tired, our room was icy so it felt very inhospitable, when we had been looking forward to relaxing somewhere cosy. Eventually we did figure out how to get the heating on (there were no instructions) and it warmed up, but by then we were too tired to enjoy it. I understand the need to keep energy use down but maybe they should put the heating on before guests arrive, especially since we had prebooked, and had checked in online earlier in the day.The hotel is right next to a major road, so there was traffic noise in our room all nightIn the morning, the pool, hot tub and sauna were nice, but again, no information in our room, so that meant an extra trip down to reception to find out about towels etc before we went swimming.

I stayed here for work. On booking, it looked like a lovely hotel. However, in person, the hotel looked tired and need of being renovated. My bathroom was very old, looking with limescale issues and scolding hot water. The bed was comfortable, which was the main reason for my stay. The breakfast was very basic. However, in this humble hotel, there was good customer service. I wouldn't rush to stay here again, but it wasn't the worst hotel I have stayed in either.
