It's a Sunday afternoon. We didn't really fancy a roast so got a burger, normally I don't really go for pub burgers as it all tastes the same.But this burger was probably the best that I have ever had.My partner had the hunters chicken and she said it was the best she ever had.Everything was perfect! Including the staff and special thankyou to the chefs.

Having lived in Grays for a year, managed to find a quaint place to have lunch. The portions are not that great but the food is tasty and the ambience is lovely. Staff friendly , however u can order everything on the app. Good choice of food and drinks

My recent visit to Sandmartin was elevated by Tori's exceptional service. From her warm welcome to her expert menu guidance, Tori's attention to detail was outstanding. She recommended the perfect drink and checked in throughout my visit, ensuring a memorable experience. The cozy atmosphere and delicious food was spectacular. I highly recommend Sandmartin, and I can't thank Tori enough for her professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Wow. Just wowSuch a brilliant night out the atmosphere here was amazing and everyone getting involved with the music and the live band. Everyone here is so nice and the staff are great when you need something , we tried the the fish and chips and it was unreal so props to the chef.But seriously if your looking to end that hard working week with a lovely drink sandmartin is the place to go.

Had such a wonderful night here at the sandmartin! Such a welcoming and friendly pub and all the staff were extremely friendly especially Lee! Perfect pub for all occasions ! Would definitely recommend, perfect for baby showers and any age group really. Lovely food to!

My favourite pub in Grays! Will be coming back more and more,specialy when putdoor area is open,it is just lovely! Food is tasty,drinks at decent prices. Happy!

Thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Staff were friendly and efficient.Just found the music a bit too loud to hold a conversation. Other than that it was an enjoyable experience.

So, recently my wife and I have been doing the 4 mile walk around the Chafford Gorge area and today we decided to stop here for lunch - just after midday. We didn't make a reservation, but there were plenty of tables with reservations for later times, so bare that in mind if you plan on stopping later in the day. Anyway, it wasn't too busy. Unfortunately, we weren't able to use the QR code to order because the starters weren't on there for some reason and it was 3 starters for... £13? I'm completely guessing, as I can't remember and forgot to take a photo, but we thought it was a good deal. We had the chicken tacos, pork tacos and chicken strips. All three dishes were extremely enjoyable. Only criticism is the tacos needed more filling and were slightly dry, so we added sauce and it made them much nicer.There's also a mains deal, 2 mains from £14.99? Again I'm guessing. I went for the Hunters chicken, which was cooking perfectly with a decent amount of chips and a little salad along with it. This was delicious with a little salt, pepper and ketchup on top. Wife went for the gammon and also agreed her food was delicious. So, can't really fault the food, except the lack of fillings in the tacos. The staff were friendly and polite. It's extremely spacious, massive car park and beer garden to sit outside and enjoy the weather with your drinks. I did find it a bit weird that there was a camera in the toilet... But anyway, we'll definitely be going back.I'm giving it 5 stars because overall it was a nice afternoon pub lunch, but 4 stars because of the rather empty and dry tacos and 4 stars for the service because I think the hard working staff could've done with an extra set of hands and the pub was much busier as we were leaving. Big down side for me, kid friendly. I don't have anything against them but when they're running around, being loud and disturbing the atmosphere, I feel it can just ruin everything - so 4 stars for that too.

Such a lovely, warm friendly pub with a great atmosphere perfect for Sunday lunches to kareoke on a Saturday night! A stunning beer garden too! A perfect venue for a baby shower, or drinks for occasions. Staff are all lovely and friendly and the food is one of the best pub lunches i’ve had in a long time. Lee was especially helpful and offered great service !
