Golf at Mottram Hall

We spend the weekend at Manchester, gorgeous weather and great atmosphere. On Saturday we attended a match at Old Trafford and we ended Sunday morning at Mottram Hall. Can not ask for more.

Great course. Well kept. Perfect fairways and very fast greens. Some very challenging holes.The course is Par 72 and very long.

Fabulous golf courseHotel very niceGood self service breakfast but disappointed with dinnerFortunately booked break via golf breaks as if you try to contact the hotel by phone you have no chance. Tried on several occasions and after being on hold between 5 & 8 mins no one picked up. Therefore sent an email few days before due to arrive which was only acknowledged on the evening if arrival. Very poor customer serviceIf we had just visited to stay in the hotel would probably have been disappointed but as we loved the golf course this definitely made the weekend enjoyable

A great day,the course was in very good condition ,and it was very enjoyable spending 6 hrs with Alex on a playing lesson.

We were there with Lady Captain's away trip; about 30 of us. The hotel admin was very poor, regarding our rooms, a lot of mix ups.Staff did their best to sort it out but there seemed to be no Management support. One room had no electricity the entire stay.Breakfast was good but diner was mediocre.

Rooms are awful, we stayed here for a wedding and when we tried to book 2 nights we was told on the phone we must pay for the spa package if its more than one night, very over priced for what you get. So we stayed 1 night in a pub/hotel less than 10 min away near aldery edge and 1 night here, if I knew the state of the room id of stayed in the other hotel and got a uber back. Our TV didn't work, the lock for the bathroom came off in your hands the air con worked when it wanted (also never had the filter on it cleaned) and the rooms don't have any 'big' lights but the switches are still there? They only have lamps which is pointless. Also the kettle was horrendously dirty filled with limescale, not a place I would stay again.

Had a quick snack at Mottram Hall golf. Ham and Cheese tostie and Tuna Melt toasties with chip £7.95. Nice scenery overlooking golf course and beautifull flowers on grounds
