New Peking House

One of the best Chinese food I've had! The tofu dishes are delicious and filling. The owner is so lovely and we love to chat with her when we're picking our food. I would definitely recommend it, especially as the prices are so good for what you get!

Rude staff and very average food. Disappointed as a new resident to the area who has take away Chinese often. Won’t return.

New peking house is the best Chinese takeaway locally to us. Quick service, whether you order for delivery or go into the place itself. I would recommend the crispy salt and chilli chicken!

We had a takeaway Saturday night for 4 people £42.00 and it was excellent. There was enough for 8! Would definitely use them again.

Not sure what all the negative reviews are? - I've been using the Golden Star for years and NEVER experienced anything less than perfect! Same people who owned the Oriental Palace down the same road before selling it and the new owners ruining it. The best Chinese takeaway I have found by far.

I know that my experience of this takeaway must be OK, due to the fact that is the takeaway of choice for all the Chinese students from Old Swinford Hospital (OSH) school just down the road. They even do an OSH special for the students from there. We have never been disappointed with the quality of the food from this establishment. Long may you shine Golden Star.

Took my order, saying they could cater for vegan - and then called back to say they couldn't do it because it was too much effort. I understand that - but they could've just said no in the first place. Complete mess about.

Very average. Clean food but rather bland and you can tell that is has been produced cheaply. House Special Chow Mein was 70% beansprout. Not terrible, but not even the best on the same street.

Great food, good prices, fast and friendly service. Salt and chilli chips the best I've had.
