Health and Safety Executive (HSE)

These people are obviously ignored by agencies: When foreigners trying to gain residency here are using agencies- they are abused by the agencies in a multitude of ways- not just wage exploitation BUT also health and safety aspects.It was my opinion that the laws changed over 20yrs ago demanding employers (An agency is an employer) provide PPE.Maybe now brexit has occurred we no longer follow such laws?Or the onus has been passed down to the employEE to buy their own gloves or boots?I've just had conscience to hand a new pair of gloves to one of the two helping unload my truck (couldn't bear to see the results of trapped fingers without them) but I dont have spare toecaps of the size needed to help the other.On questioning them- they both say they've asked- one was told we have no gloves"The other one was told "You'll have to get your own"- regarding boots. NOTHING was said about taking them the receipt etc.SO; as you can imagine- I look at those enforcing the law and blame the HSE for their inadequate visits and lack of control over agencies!"
