Ordered takeaway at 5.45 due for delivery at 7.07 and paid £1.50 for delivery. 7.30 rang as not delivered, they said I had asked to collect , I said why charge £1.50 they said for delivery? I also have email confirming delivery time.Eventually arrived, it was not nice, curry watery, chicken tikka ok, salad was yuk. Attitude on telephone disgusting. I have ordered from them for many years. Not any more as attitude,lack of respect and below average food just not worth it.

Always excellent food from this establishment. The tastiest in Hebburn and Jarrow as I've tried most of them and not found any as good as this.Quick delivery and Always arrives hot.Highly recommended.

Ordered for delivery was told 1 hour I then called 1 hour 30 mins later as it still hadn't arrived to be told its leaving now and will be 10 minutes after another 30 mins still no food I called for a refund to be told it still hadn't left the shop and it would be 7 mins,very precise I know I insisted on a refund I drove to the shop to pick up my refund only to be told they had recalled the driver.Absolutely the most poor service don't lie about delivery times and give customers the chance to go elsewhere.

Not the best takeaway I've had, starts over cooked (burnt) the prawn starter was very bland with lots of onions and not many prawns.The main of chicken tikka garlic chilli was OK at best, chips were hard and undercooked almost white, the vegetable rice was bland as well. First time trying this takeaway coming recommend by friends. I won't be listening to them again if this is supposed to be one of the best around, not a great experience and won't be going again.As for the reply from the owner that this is your opinion "Yes it is and as a paying customer I have the right to give an honest opinion which I did. No comment in the way of an apology or how could we do better next time."

Food was fine, starter (bhuna mushroom puree) was really good. However, cheese and onion naan had no cheese in it. Also waited 1 hour for collection, far too long.

I ordered a takeaway beef curry, nut pilau , a nann bread. There was enough meat, but the sauce had little taste. The rice was dry. The nann bread was nice. Delivery was excellent. Apart from the nann, 3verything else wasn't my taste, so I won't be using them again.

Went to collect food. Got home and Bombay chips were missing (main reason I ordered was for these chips). Rang to let them know and they said they’d send some out. They Never came.Rest of food was just ok, used to be banging. Will try somewhere else next time.

Abbeys is the best Indian takeaway in the north east. People come from South Shields now because they used to have ab Abbeys there but sadly they can no longer run two of them. They also deliver through the pedestrian tunnel to Walker and Wallsend!The Balti curry and balti naan is excellent. No ill effects ever, don't know how they do it.

I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAINOrdered a takeaway 26.50Paid for spicy chips got normal chips paid for bhuna prawn on purée 6 tiny little prawns and it was all onionShri lanka tasted like a vindaloo and the nan bread had the smallest amount of Keema in it the rice was in a small carton and it was spot the keema wHt a waist of my money there was no flavor to it made in the cheapest way

Ordered the Deluxe Nanbab" why don't you say you put potatoes in? That suspiciously looks like chicken haha cutting costs I guess? Doesn't even mention potatoes in the description! Bit disappointing really
