MRFS Group (now Fire Alarm Fabrication Services)

We were recommended MRFS by a family member and have been extremely impressed with them. Both installation and maintenance have been completed to a very high standard and we have found their engineers efficient and approachable.

We recently instructed MRFS to carry out a survey of an existing alarm system which we inherited. The service from initial call to the office and on to arrange an engineer was met by a friendly member of the team who swiftly booked a visit by one of their service professionals. The visit was smooth and efficient all whilst adhering to the social distancing and wearing the correct PPE.The outcome was a through assessment of our system with minor service requirements and part changes to restore it to a fully functioning system. The chap who visited also inspected some our of lighting as the Lutron system was out of sync, he recommended a few upgrades which we have booked on another visit.Once the work was completed it was an easy process to sign up with the service agreement and arrange payment.Thanks also to Tyler, Ben and Omar who had assisted in our works and were a pleasure to deal with.

Our home has been protected by this company for as long as I can remember. Throughout that time, their service has been exemplary. Their administration is efficient, so the system stays in working order. They turn up when expected and do what is expected. They turn up at short notice and offer advice over the telephone. Their kit works. Their engineers are professionals. Their charges are reasonable. I recommend them with no reservations.

The worst company I have come across. Hassled me to pay well before the deadline, and because of their stupid accounts system, the payment got charged twice. After acknowledging double payment in writing, the company does not respond to me or return the second payment. They also tried to charge me additional amounts for a part replacement which could be replaced as part of the service. This company loves to rip people off and provide horrible service. Stay away !

Absolutely awful company. MRFS installed a system for me, which we discovered after a number of years to be missing some key components that should be included as standard (fuses for a PIR system!). This meant the whole system shorted and broke when one PIR out of six PIRs failed.Rather than taking responsibility for the atrocious architecture and design and lack of the inclusion of fuses, MRFS treated us shockingly, clearly with the intention of trying to push us into a corner to take out one of their support contracts. Rather than apologising and working with us, they attempted to throw their T&C’s at us.Having paid for an engineer to come out, 30 minutes after the time we were expecting the engineer back on site on the day of the repair day it turned out MRFS had not actually even ordered the parts for the job.MRFS won’t call you back when they say they will, some of their staff have attitude issues and they definitely have virtually no notion of what customer service looks like.Avoid at all costs.

A terrible service. The previous owners had the alarm installed. We required a year's maintenance contract before the alarm was replaced. During that period we were charged over £200 to disconnect a sensor. At renewal we erroneously were told that we'd agreed to a three year contract, then that it was a year's contract but that we needed to give two months' notice. The months' notice apparently being insufficient!

First I would like to say my alarm company contract was purchased by this company I would never have chosen them, if I could find a company to move to I would be off like a shot.Their customer service is nonexistent, for simple annual service appointments they never arrive in 4hr time period booked nor do they let you know they’re running late. In one case they didn’t turn up at all, they’d forgotten to put the booking on the diary even though I had the confirmation email.Another time I had a short notice change to a long standing booking because they wanted a training day.I get the feeling that the residential customers are at the bottom of the pile and the corporate customers get priority treatment.I have contacted them directly and still waiting.

MRFS have now installed alarm systems in our last two houses. They have always been highly professional and efficient when installing or servicing and I would definitely recommend them.

I am a manager of a dental practice and we use this company for our fire alarm system.First they told us they could complete the work during opening hours and disruption to patients and staff would be minimal. When the engineer arrived he said he was unable to complete the work with people about. MRFS wanted several hundred pounds more to come outside of working hours and when I said I would need to look for another company I was told they could in fact work with patients and staff in the building.Work was delayed for several reasons and I had to sent many emails to get this rebooked. We had engineers arrive and tell us they did not have the tools to finish the work too.I've since had a service (after many phonecalls and emails to book in) and some future work was due to be carried out. I did not hear from MRFS so decided to contact them myself. An appointment was made and I was told I would receive a quote. I've chased this on 4 occasions over a month and am still yet to receive it.I have looked for their complaints procedure on their website but have been unable to find it.

Over the moon with the Quality of service and professionalism received from MRFS. The transition from design, consultation to a complete, compliant, commissioned system is stress free. Would highly recommend for both commercial and residential systems.
