Cheshire Steam Fair

The actual fair was great. Lots to see and do... but the food and drink prices are ridiculous.£11 for a small tray fish and chips... £5 for a small tray of chips. £9 for 4 chicken gujions in a small tray of chips...They even make Oulton Park food prices look good... Take your own food and drink.

Good day out when we got there.However, I had to buy a family ticket (2 kids, 2 adults) because they didn't have any single adults left. The reason was because they were trying to limit numbers for covid but the place was absolutely packed.It took us well over an hour to queue in traffic to get in as well, really poor planning. Even worse, no information on how to get there on the website. Just a postcode that took us to the wrong place. Managed to find when we found the large queue.Overall event was quite good. A lot of people trying to sell stuff. Some cool events and vehicles. Will come back next year if the organisation of the event improves.

Terribly managed event which is a shame because it has the potential of becoming a great fun annual event IF managed well.Traffic and parking is just one of the major issues here,Expect long queues well over 2 hours just to get to the car park IF any parking space left!

Bring cash. Food is expensive as always at events; I'm not sure why people are surprised at that.Overall, it was a fantastic day out for any age, something for everyone.

Lovely Day OutWe attended a couple of years ago and do keep meaning to attend again so it's on our to do list for this year hopefully now covid restrictions won't be as much as an issue. Lots of things to do and enjoy not just steam engines. We were pleasantly surprised how big an event it was!

A brilliant day out for individuals or families, superb weather too!, but take your own food and drink.£9 for a pork baguette, £6.50 for a bacon and egg barm.!!

Had the best weekend the steam rally was out of this world the exhibitors worked so hard, seen David Jason and Jay blade's filming new show,vintage lorries car's motorbikes caravans bow tops working horses,plus brand new top of the range in have and amazing spray jobs,do not miss it next year it was for everyone beer tent stalls and good food.
