Very welcoming, staff are great and will do anything they can to help.Food is so much more and the rooms are so comfy looking forward to going back for a week stay in August.Well worth the money and certainly worth the stay

Very straightforward establishment - warm welcome, wide choice of beer, wine and a menu which made it dificult to choose! Great for kids too, I imagine.Meal and drinks excellent!

We have just spent 4 nights in the Alexandra Hotel and we had a very relaxing time. The room was superb, the food also and Fiona and Alan are great hosts. If you wish a great few days away please go to this hotel.

Small, friendly family run hotel in the centre of Ballater. The ensuite room was very comfortable, immaculately clean and well appointed. Breakfast was excellent. Great base for hillwalking and mountain biking.

Beautiful building. Spotlessly clean, comfortable, and very friendly. The dinner was just perfect, and the breakfast was delicious too. The owners and their team were so professional and kind. Of course, we will stay here again when we're in the area, 100%.

Alexandra Hotel
We ate at the Alexandra hotel while traveling in Scotland. The food was quite delicious. Especially the lasagna. Unfortunately the wait staff woman who took care of us on May 22 nd really put a damper on the experience. She was not friendly and seemed put out to be helping us. That made us look to other restaurants for meals unfortunately.

We stayed the night after the Balmoral races. Warm welcome from hosts. Lovely cozy, homely little hotel. Lovely bar to relax for a drink. The food was excellent, honest great grub at a reasonable price. I'll be back !!
