I only give this a 1 Star as I went to get my inner tube fixed, and they forgot to fit the breaks back on my bike. Luckily I noticed, but otherwise this could have led to serious injury. I had a very nice young lad changing the tire for me. His manager wasn’t giving him any help and was quite aloof throughout the experience. I think there needs to be a checklist for the workers to work from, or a more experienced staff member to shadow, to prevent an issue like this again.

Yet another great experience from Omer at the Colchester branch. Adjusted my kid's bike and advised me on the next size up to get the little man since he's already outgrown his current bike. Really friendly, knowledgeable and obviously enthusiastic about what he does; a real credit to you! And also a shout-out for Alex, who gave my car a great check-over while the bike was being serviced. Can't fault my experience today. Cheers guys!

Just wanted to say huge thanks to my local Colchester Halfords for their amazing customer service. I they have helped me expertly with mistakes I have made making my Ribble bike fit on to a power trainer. I had stuffed it up royally and they just sorted it all out when I just poled up on a Saturday morning. Huge thanks to Omer and his colleagues! Will be back for a service and more products, as per usual. Good to know you are there. Happy Christmas, guys!

The 15 year old bike of mine which my boy had been using had seen better days so I purchased this one online at what I think was a reasonable price and picked it up at the Colchester branch.Dan the bike mechanic/sales assistant was knowledgeable,friendly and pointed out the benefits of the Silver service which I also paid for!Bearing in-mind that the bike was only £205 with assembly…not only did I receive a 5 star service but it was worth the 40 mile car journey to get there!Well done to Dan and the team!!

Amazing customer care from Gav & Donna. Friendly, professional, made my experience a pleasure. Sadly my car needed an electrical specialist but Gav and his colleague tried everything, nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend Halfords, Colchester for an honest , competitive, customer centred service.

I was served by Donna who explained the benefits of joining Halfords Motoring Club. She was very friendly and professional. Excellent service. 5 stars.It’s a shame that the fitting service was so poor. Only one fitter working and was told I’d have to wait about 25 minutes. After waiting 30 minutes then told it’d be at least another 15 minutes. Really poor, poor service and very disappointed. 1 star.Reece did the fitting and he was very good. It’s not his fault he was the only fitter. 5 stars for Reece but ZERO stars for the management

Booked and paid in advance for two tyres to be replaced , I’ve had my appointment cancelled with no reason , I’ve had to ring National tyres to find out why and they can’t give me an answer, They told me to bring the vehicle in as per the appointment . Got there no tyres my size ……was told my tyres would be in by 1pm and I’d get a call to confirm this ……. Time now is 4.15pm still no call . Total day wasted not impressed, total lack of communication on Halfords part . Rang Halfords customer service total waste of time . I have no option but to waste more time going back to Halfords Cowdray Ave Colchester and demand my money back
