Co-operative Food

Disappointed!!I’ve had my first Too Good to Go Magic Bag from this Co-op, and the amount of food I was given was 50p more expensive than if I’d bought it out of the ‘Goody bag scheme’. This is a disgraceful opportunity to overcharge someone who has opted in to the scheme to save money and to save food from being thrown away on its last day. The surprise inside the bag is meant to be a good one as a reward for taking pot luck with your purchase! Other stores put more in than what you paid for the bag. I tried to call the store 4 times to sort this out - and left a message - but no-one bothered to pick up or return my request for a call back. I will try to contact a store manager and raise a complaint, as I’m pretty sure this isn’t the way this scheme is meant to be operated. Shame on you. Last time I go here for anything!!

Prices tend to be higher than in a conventional supermarket but you are paying for the convenience and it's so easy to pop down and find lots of parking. The staff at this Coop cannot be faulted and, if you have a look in their shortly to exceed their sell by date cabinet, you will find many bargains because shoppers tend to ignore items at the bloated normal price.
