Baskil Window Systems

I purchased a new house which is now just two years old. While sitting in my kitchen yesterday the window on the patio exploded and shattered the entire window. After speaking with the company who built the houses they advised me to ring the company who supplied and fitted the windows initially.I know I am not entitled to have this replaced free as i was informed by the builder on the first call as it carried only a one year guarantee ( I was shocked to say the least at one year) nether less I knew this when ringing.I asked if they would come out to access and possible replace and give me an estimate only to be met with we require £95 plus VAT to do this. I asked the lady Karen could i send measurements and possible get an estimate over the phone knowing this could go up or down. I was told to take the measurements and ring back. This took less than a few minutes to do but when I rang back a very annoyed angry man insisted on a card for payment first and kept talking over me cutting me short not allowing me to speak. To cut a very long and upsetting phone call short I didn’t expect anything for free I expected good customer service and an estimate with a view to getting it fixed Karen and this man were not helpful in any way rude and ignorant.These windows aren’t a good standard obviously with two years behind them and exploding as it did despite everything customer service would have went a long way I would NEVER recommend this company that phone call volumes to me they just didn’t want to know so please before you spend your money make sure your aware that customer services does not exist in this company can I just add I am aware other factors weather or other may or may not have contributed to the window shattering but this company made a more upsetting experience worse thank you BaskilCan I just add and I have also mentioned this to the builder every window in my home has cold air coming through not one window is sealed properly the builder did make contact many times and they ignored itHappy for you to come access Baskil and see for yourselves the workmanship which is rubbish the whole house is has faulty windows and cold air constantlyRead down below folks I’m not the only one !!!!

Windows for my new build were ordered via my contractor. When I went to the showroom to pick the windows I was informed there was a 10 year warranty. So windows were fitted about 6 months before house finished. Back door become difficult to lock after a few months. Engineer came out same day and 'fixed' A number of months later on windy night the wind came howling through the front door. Engineer was onsite at a neighbours and I mentioned it and also that the wind was also blowing in over the back door. He advised he would let the office know. After no contact for a few months I rang the office. told a call out of £95 was chargable as a year had passed since install Disgraceful service. So much for a 10 year no quibble warranty. They won't fix ill-fitting doors. They are not fit for purpose. How can I recommend?

Baskil was recommended by my builder as his preferred window/door supplier. I went to the Baskil showroom in Crumlin to look at my options. The front of counter staff were very informative and helpful. Chose 6m sliding doors for my new extension which were installed recently. They look fantastic and the product and workmanship is without fault. Special thanks to Connor for his follow up call to discuss RAL colour options which I'm particularly happy with. Overall a very good experience from this company.

**EDITED. A LOVELY MAN WILLIAM CAME OUT AND PUT THE VENT COVER ON WITHOUT A CALL OUT FEE AS IT SHOULD BE** OPINION NOW CHANGED OF BASKIL TO A FAVOURABLE ONE. THANKS.Noticed one of the windows outside had no vent cover put on it. Contacted and they said because its over a year since fitted there is a call out fee of £95 ?? For something that they should have put on the window in the first place ? Ridiculous

I’m a contractor and use Baskil all the time. The sales rep is very professional and very good at communicating. Never had an issue with quality. Turnaround time is fantastic. And the aftercare is second to none. Very professional company who I would recommend to anyone.

Baskil supplied us with windows, doors and a bifold for our new build house recently and we are absolutely delighted with them. Dermot who dealt with our order was a pleasure to deal with as were the staff in the showroom. We have had so many comments admiring the windows and have no hesitations recommending Baskil. We look forward to returning for our front door near completion and seeing everything finished. Highly recommend.

AVOID this company!!! We bought a new built house and after two years one of our windows just smashed in our spare room which wasn't even being used. When calling Baskill for advice I was met by a very rude lady on the phone who quickly told me that this was not covered on the warranty and the call out charge to assess the problem was of 95£ regardless. It s a shame to see companies like this profiting by selling low quality products. Be mindful When buying from them as totally not worth the hassle.
