Great atmosphere and food, but the prices are exorbitantly high. My visit to the shop last Sunday, 26th November at 16:55, was marred by an appalling display of customer service. Most of the staff were idly chatting, utterly oblivious to customers waiting to be served. Only one seemed to be putting in any effort, while the rest were blatantly neglectful, contributing nothing. If I ran the business, I wouldn’t tolerate such lackadaisical attitudes; I’d fire them for such gross incompetence. Excellent, proactive, and professional service is the backbone of any successful business, something that is severely lacking in Gail’s Greenwich. This negligence is rotting the core of what could otherwise be a fine establishment.

The coffee (soy latte) was good and it was served in a cup. However the 40p extra charge for soy milk feels a bit hefty considering this is a chain.Special extras like rice/almond/hemp/oat milk can be considered extras, but soy milk should be considered as a milk replacement for those with food intolerances.I feel this 40p extra charge discriminates against people with lactose intolerance. There is also no gluten free food available. We’re not talking about opening a separate bakery, but just some sort of option – like bananasAnother small point: the walls need touching up a bit and the floor was a bit dirty early in the day and it wasn’t raining.

Delicious but pricey food, probably got a bit lucky with the timing as the ham & cheese croissant was still hot from the oven.

Overall a pleasant experience, good coffee and nice atmosphere, gets quite busy at times but service is still reasonable. For someone coming from Australia, it was a bit disappointing that if you were dining in you still had to wait where the takeaway was being picked up to get your mug of coffee and take it to your table. However besides this minor detail it was a lovely little cafe and the free wifi was a bonus :)

Very busy branch. One of my go-to when it comes to cinnamon buns. Their’s is £3.40 a piece. It is crispy and flaky on the outside and soft on the inside. This batch however is a little too burnt (bought around 11am, 12/08/2023). But I still liked it. I’ve had this in other branches and they were special.

GAIL's Bakery is the place to go in Greenwich if you are looking for baked goods. Everything I tasted there was delicious. I'd specially recommend the Lemon Cake and the crakers. The Seed crackers and the Cheese crackers are simply superb.

We visited at 2pm on a Saturday, so there was a big queue out of the door and all of the cinnamon buns were sold out. We were forced to try an apple bun and the Christmas bun instead and have to say they were pretty good.. but not as good as their cinnamon bun!

I visit here regularly. The Chocolate Babka from here is ELITE. The chocolate cake is great too, as is the salted caramel pecan cake. For savoury options you can’t go wrong with the ham and cheese croissant.Staff are all really kind, they went the extra mile and gave me a box when I mentioned I was travelling home with some cakes for my family. Awesome service and awesome products.

First-time visitors. We arrived 18.45 to try out the scones. Unfortunately, this place only serves takeaway around 19.00 since they close at 20.00, we discovered after we payed. We asked to sit down and were able to. I'm sure it's amazing before 18.45. But our experience was dry scones eaten on paperbags.
