Although the meat was tasty, the service was disgusting. I've never meet such a grumpy old woman in my life and my nan is less to be desired. I felt like I was being talked down to when asking for advice on how to cook said meat. I will not be going back to the establishment again, which is a shame because the food is nice.

Huge selection of meats, baked goods and even home made jams. I love this place, everything I have brought from them has been perfect, my only issues is not having enough storage to store everything I want from them

Always a mouth watering experience. The staff are superbly helpful and always seem happy.Can't fault anything I've ever bought, my current favourite is the black garlic steak.

I shop here regular, always been polite, friendly and helpful .I especially come for the black pudding, nothing like it south of the Scottish Borders. Good quality of everything you buy here. The chilli burgers and bombs are second to none too. Must try!!

My boyfriend made a Scottish breakfast as a surprise for my birthday with all your tasty food. Absolutely delicious and will definitely be returning soon as i really miss my Scottish food!

Plenty of choice, quality meat and polite service. Will definitely become a regular, it is more expensive than supermarket but you're paying for a better quality meat and no wastage, I am single so it is challenging to shop for single portion size fresh meat in the supermarkets.I haven't tried the kebabs but when I was in there last week, a customer came in and said that she had really enjoyed them and wanted some more.

Exceptional selection of products. Amazing quality meat - the Scotch beef burgers taste like Heaven! The staff is courteous and helpful. I asked for an unconventional cut of beef for an Italian broth some time ago and the staff promptly and happily satisfied my request.

HORRENDOUS customer service. Only wanted to buy some meat - was made to feel like a lesser form of human being.Had a nice dinner but the taste of the meat was unfortunately soured by the awful taste left in my mouth by the wretch of a woman that served me. Will never be buying from this establishment again.

It's such a shame that a nice butcher like Buckwells, attach so little importance to its customer service. I feel that Buckwells is surfing on its reputation and doesn't think that talking nicely to customers is important. I was served by an older male, who responded to my query in a very arrogant, condescending way. Won't be using again as there are other butchers who might not have the same elegant cozy shop, but treat their customers in a much nicer way. We are not asking to have a VIP treatment, just a friendly one would be nice! Get off your high horse Buckwells!
