Jay is a great guitar player who also understands how to teach. His passion for music and helping people, combine to make his lessons enjoyable and memorable. Prepared to move at the students pace rather than to some prescribed schedule, his lessons have worked to improve my guitar playing significantly, but have also improved my appreciation for music. Jay will teach you the songs you want to learn but perhaps more importantly the the theory that has helped create them. A talented, humorous and thoroughly decent bloke and guitar sensei extraordinaire!

I have been having lessons with Jay for over 6 months now, as a complete beginner. He helped from the very start in finding and buying a guitar, restringing and repairing it - all in his own time and with no charge except the parts.Since then I have not looked back, he is patient and easy going and makes the lessons thoroughly enjoyable - I look forward to our Friday get together all week!I would highly recommend - and his prices are extremely reasonable too.

If you are looking for a guitar teacher then Jay is the best. He has over 40 years experience in composing and performing all genres of music. Jay will plan your lessons around your own tastes and level of expertise whether you are a beginner or have been playing for awhile and need more motivation and guidance. Lessons are always fun. Jay is friendly and patient and very generous with his time. He can play any style from Bach to Hendrix and his theory knowledge is second to none. Highly recommended. Wouldn't go anywhere else.
