Citroen Chesterfield
Yesterday the 8th May 2023 I had to take my Motability Car in for its first service. Bearing in mind that I have never had a Motabilty Car before I didn't know the proceedure. A Red Spanner light appeared on my dashboard so I contacted Citroen to ask about booking my car in. The person that spoke to was very helpful and booked it in for 9am. on the 8th May. I specified that I would need a courtesy car as I take my Autistic Grandson to school and back daily. I also said that I needed an AUTOMATIC as I am unable to drive a manual car. After he had checked , everything was sorted. It was'nt until I had put the phone down I realised it was the Coronation Bank Holiday. It took me a while to get through to Citroen again, and by a while I mean 2weeks. The appointment time got changed to 10am and reminded them, once again that I would need an AUTOMATIC Courtesy car. Arrived at Citroen on the 8th to be met by Kate. After booking my car in Kate told me they had a car ready but it was Manual. After telling me the car I was supposed to have had ,which had been booked for me, had gone out. Kate then suggested that I drive and Automatic Coupe which was the ONLY Automatic they had. I couldn't even get in and out of the car it was so low and I wouldn't be able to take my Grandson to school. I ended up sitting and waiting for 2 hours whilst they serviced my car. I had arranged to take my Daughter and Grandson out for the day which I was unable to do. I was not happy that something that had been planned and agreed upon for 4 weeks had just been totally ignored. To cap it all off, my children had bought me personalised number plates and I had sorted with Motabilty that I could have them put on my car. The service group glued them to my car as I agreed and by that time I just wanted to go home . Jump to this morning the 9th. I went out to take my Grandson to school. I found my front number plate on the drive. Whilst I can't say they did a bad service. I can say that it was a very unpleasant experience and one I wouldn't like to go through again next year.
