St Julians Medical Centre

Been a patient at this practice for 43 years and have always been more than satisfied with the service I have received. The doctors have always been fantastic. Unfortunately the reception staff let the practice down. 2 weeks ago I attended an appointment I had booked with the doctor 2 weeks previously to find I didn't have an appointment with the doctor at all as the reception staff had made a mistake. That wouldn't have been a problem had they apologised and sorted it out and arranged for me to see a doctor given it was their mistake. Instead they just said there was nothing they could do and refused to let me speak to the practice manager. Today I've rung up for my test results within their 1 hour allotted time slot and was kept on hold for 15 minutes which meant that they didn't answer until 1 minute after the allotted time and they refused to give me my results. Seriously considering trying another surgery.

My dad went to the surgery on Thursday morning with severe head pain and couldn't open his one eye due to the pain told them he had high blood pressure and needed to see a Dr urgently. Receptionist said that any problem with your eyes needs to be seen by a optician and to go to pharmacy for headache relief tablets. Eventually called through in the afternoon to get an emergency appointment over the phone. Dr examined and said he thinks there is a bleed on the brain turns out the Dr was correct and is still in hospital 1 week later being told that if he didn't come in when he did things would have been a lot worse. Receptionist should not being giving out advice when she is not medically trained a formal complaint has been made to practice manager and will be going even higher up the complaint chain as this lady should not be allowed to work there ever again.

Absolutely disgusting attitude on the receptionists, raise your voice only slightly because you talk loud generally because your hearing is slighly impared they shout at you like your some child and threaten to strike you off if you complain further.Most recently, I had to coller the doctor in the hallway to get any type of response because the receptionists told me the doctors CAN'T see me for a week or four because they are too busy, rather than book you in for an appointment.The doctor was more than happy to help and got me an apppointment that week, whilst the receptionist stood there giving me the most filthy look for going over her back, if looks could kill i'd be dead right now.The surgery needs a comlpete new reception team because the ones they got there now think they are above everyone else and talks down their nose to you like your a piece of trash, and you can't even speak up about it without fear of being striken off.I'm actually considering taking further action with my experiences I KEEP having with the receptionists there with the Local Health Board, and if I don't get any type of resolve then i'll take it further to the Public Services Ombudsman.It's time those receptionists get a reality check, they are no better than anyone else.!

Dr Malcolm P Brown should not be a doctor, these people are supposed to help you with any debilitating issues you face. Malcolm P Brown will suggest you're lying or just wrong. Makes it easier for him to excuse not helping. Don't waste your time with that scum bag, he doesn't value anyone besides himself. The same experience with him every single time.

I phoned up this morning and I was met with a receptionist with an absolutely disgusting tone, instantly having an attitude before I even spoke to her regarding what’s wrong. Spoke down to me as well, very condescending and rude.

Nurse very dismissive didn’t bother to listen to me properly and examined me for 1 second. Then did the most basic blood test which wasn’t related to my health complaint. We pay money into the NHS only to be fobbed of as though lm a hypochondriac! Back to square one, wish me luck.

This surgery is the best I've ever had! I feel fortunate to have a god surgery that genuinely care about me. Thank you all at St Julians Medical Centre

Been a patient for 7 years and rarely need to bother the GP. Recently I knew my knees were injured and decided I would pay to see a knee specialist as I know the nhs is overloaded. And yep -I need scans and possible operation. So now I do need to see a GP and I’ve been trying for two weeks to get an appointment. It’s just impossible. I’msecond in the queue yet none left when I get through? Are there any doctors there?? All I need is a referral letter signing. I’ve tried taking it in and leaving in doctors pigeon hole. Apparently that’s a 4 week wait ?? No-one seems to care at this surgery any more. Which im sure makes more patients ill

If you’re Asian/coloured skin try stay away from this nasty place disgusting attitude towards patientsAbsolutely vile they’ll treat you like a piece of trash i’d rather die than try get an emergency appointment with them they’ll think you’re lying and tell you “ring back tomorrow” Vile people

Usually have okay experiences at St.Julians, but when trying to book an emergency appointment for tonsillitis, I was spoken to in the most disgusting and rude way by one of the receptionists - she talked down to me and had an attitude straight away when she picked up the phone, and when I asked if I was able to book an appointment in case I had an infection, she raised her voice at me and then put the phone down on me. Not once was I made aware that my surgery was no longer taking on these appointments anymore due to the chemist taking them, but have been made to feel awful about wanting to book a simple appointment for antibiotics.
