Travelstay Inn

If I could give minus I would. It is located in what can only be described as the roughest part of Sunderland. As we arrived to check in the police were just leaving the property.The cleaner has obviously not been doing their job. The only words that I can think of to describe it are unsanitary and unfit for human habitation. There was pizza behind the microwave. Stained bedsheets with hairs on. Bottles from multiple days and dirty floors. PSA photos.The front of house staff was extremely informal and it felt like I was being hit on. Once we confronted him about the state of the room his friend walked one way and he went the other, not to be seen again.Management was helpful but were nowhere near the property to deal with this as quickly as needed. We asked for a refund and have now been told 1-3 working days, this eats into the fun we have for this trip.Please do not stay here unless there are changes. I would not recommend a stay here in its current state, I would not stay here or any other properties they own.

I stayed here whilst working in the area. The staff are amazing. The block is clean. The area isn't wonderful but the block is safe and secure and the staff are attentive. The studio is spacious and very cosy .. nicely decorated.

Terrible, they didn’t refund my holding deposit, I called they weren’t picking, I emailed, no response. I sent a text, no reply. Anytime I come back to Sunderland I’ll make sure police settle this out.
