Ally Cat Cards Leek

Tacky and smells like mildew. And no, I am not the shoplifter you banned. If I have to explain myself me and my mother were given a dirty look as soon as we walked in a couple of weeks ago when we were looking for fathers day cards. Went to the Alphabet Shop and was given much better service. One star now just for the passive aggressive reply off owner.

Awfull experience with balloons!! DON’T BUY FROM HERE!! Go around corner to superior shop.Pre booked 12 For Ruby Wedding meal and they were stuffed in 1 bag and so tangled when unpacked had to cut and re tie but worse still they were deflated before end of meal around 10 pm!!!Was told when I complained that I hadn’t chosen solution therefor cudnt expect them to last as they May well b blown up at 9 !!!Offered 10% off further purchases as good will gesture but am not that desperate and will give this shop no more of my custom!!

Terrible customer service!!! I ordered a life-size Thomas balloon for my 3 year old for his birthday which I found quite expensive at almost £14 but went with it as he is a huge Thomas fan. Picked up late on Saturday - took out of the bag and stored In a dark room out of the way until needed (as instructed). Moved from one room to the next the following day. Literally nobody had been near the balloon. Its started to make a hissing sound and then popped! We had had the balloon just 24 hours. I called Ally cat in Leek to be told that it was my fault and they were not willing to do anything to help. Very rude and unhelpful. I wasted so much time on my little boys birthday trying to resolve for absolutely nothing. My family as well as myself certainly won't be putting business their way in future.Additional to Ally Cat reply - I am certainly not out to damage the reputation of a small family run business. I am sharing my experience to help others and hopefully improve your customer service. Can I also add that there was no demand for a free balloon. I simply asked if instead of having a small discount from another expensive balloon could I have one of the small (£5.50) balloons to replace the one I had bought which clearly had a fault to which the answer was no! Maybe use this feedback to improve your business going forward. Wishing you all the best.

Love this shop. Plenty of choice albeit cards, balloons or gifts. Great prices too. Staff are lovely and helpful.

The staff here are so helpful! I took some balloons in (that were from a shop at home...we were on holiday) for blowing up and one was faulty. The lady went out of her way to find me in a coffee shop to tell me and ask if I wanted one of their own instead... excellent service. K x
