I can’t even put into words how much I loved having Joanne design & create my dream dress and cathedral veil. I loved every moment I spent with her. After our first meeting Inknew Joanne got me and my style and I trusted her to created something special. Joanne also creates my mums bespoke outfit it was so special to share this experience with my mum. We loved our Saturday morning appointments! Joanne is BEYOND talented and nothing was too much to ask. Joanne has become a great friend! It’s so exciting looking at a sketch and watch it turn into a dream dress. Joanne made the most beautiful robe for my daughters christening at the end of November. Joanne took the time to get to know exactly what I wanted and she created the most stunning robe. A robe that could not have been bought anywhere. Such a talented dress maker which I highly recommend.

Joanne made a beautiful bespoke veil for my wedding day. She listened to all my ideas and added to them and brought them to life in the form of a stunning, delicate and unique veil that I will cherish forever. I could not recommend Joanne highly enough. I first met Joanne when she designed my step mother's wedding dress. The dress that Joanne designed was so beautiful and perfect for a second wedding. Joanne was available to my step mum after the wedding to help tailor the dress to enable her to wear it as an evening dress. As an 18 year old girl, who was obsessed with wedding dresses, Joanne's studio was a dream come true.I went back to Joanne for my bridesmaids dresses. I am sure you are thinking why didn't I get my wedding dress made by Joanne... it is a bit of a long story but I deeply regret not going to her for my dress.However, even though Joanne did not make and design my dress, the way that she looked after me and my two bridesmaid made me feel like I was one of her brides. I had one bridesmaid from London who was only over twice before the wedding- my engagement was not that long. Joanne arranged her diary so that we could get our appointments to fit around the travelling bridesmaid.I thought I had an idea in my head of what I wanted for my bridesmaids but after speaking with Joanne, I realised that the style I had thought of, would not suit the shape of my bridesmaids. So we started from scratch. Joanne looked at a picture of my dress and then sketched out something that that would compliment and match.In terms of colour, I had no idea where to start, so Joanne just brought down a few sample dresses for the girls to try. The first dress that the girls tried on, I fell in love with, the colour, shape, everything. That was the dress we ended up with. Joanne made two of that dress to perfectly fit the girls.Joanne was so kind to me the day before my wedding, she had the girls down, twice that day, to ensure that the dresses fitted like a glove. Again she didn't make my dress but she gave me tips about how to look after my dress, get into my dress, etc.I was so nervous that day and I felt very overwhelmed and Joanne spotted how I felt instantly. She told me I needed to sit down and relax and that I needed to sleep! Very sound advice to any bride the day before the wedding, during all the madness!Although Joanne must have had hundreds of brides around the time of my wedding, she did make me and my bridal party feel incredibly special and important. That is not something I felt at every bridal shop I visited personally or visited with other brides when acting as a bridesmaid.Every bride and member of the bridal party deserves to be made to feel as special as Joanne makes you feel.I promise you will never regret having Joanne involved in your dress... you will only regret it if you don't!Thank you Joanne.

It has been 29 years from Joanne created my wedding gown, headpiece, shoes and those of my bridesmaids. A long time ago by today’s standards, but I can honestly say the experience and the dresses are timeless. Joanne paid so much attention to detail on how I wanted my dress to look, fitting it perfectly with my vision but balancing with what would suit my shape so that the end product more than fulfilled my dreams. The personalised embroidery made it so special and the headpiece that Joanne created is truly a work of art, and was so unique at the time, it still makes me grin to think of the reactions I had from my friends and family.I can still remember visiting her showroom for the process of creating the dress. Joanne’s professionalism, care and advice are something that made the run up to the wedding seamless and I only have wonderful memories of the whole event. One of the best things for me was that my Mum came to all the appointments with me, shared in the decision making and Joanne made her feel important throughout but never overshadowed my place as the bride. Given that my Mum died 6 yrs later, it means I have wonderful memories that are so special and could not have been replicated through the normal “shopping for a dress” process. Joanne is one of a kind and a dying breed. She designed and made my dream dress that she somehow exquisitely took from my heart and made it real. It was stunning and it was me. Joanne likes to put the personality of each one of her clients into their outfits. It's not just a dress, she has the talent to make it an extension of their personality. She does all this while keeping budget in mind although does not cut corners by using cheap materials. She talks things through with you in order to keep to the budget you want while using only quality materials that she most elegantly and pain stakingly hand stitches herself. Joanne is very personable, quirky, fun, chatty, down to earth girl whose extremely professional but easy to get on with. We couldn't have met a nicer person. Joanne is equistly and highly highly talented in her profession. She doesn't merely sell dresses, she designes and makes the perfect dress or outfit for the occasion. My wedding dress which Joanne designed and made for me was the most beautiful piece of art I've ever seen. That's what Joanne does, make one of a kind pieces of art. Although she also does cater for men and those looking to hire. Joanne's bridal shop is an extension of who she is and what she loves doing, making her clients look stunning and leave them feeling happy with a little piece of their heart with Joanne in it. Her helper is so down to earth too and such a pleasure to work with along side Joanne. I highly recommend Joanne and hope more go to her and keep this dying breed, who is Joanne Ferguson, alive. Joanne made my Mother of the Bride outfit and I would highly recommend her if you would like a bespoke gown. She has wonderful ideas and is very artistic and creative. In addition she is so patient and very caring. She managed to make a gown that was just 'me' and I felt wonderful on my daughter's special day!Thank you for everything JoanneGillian x

I was delighted I choose Joanned to design the dresses for my wedding. As this was my second time around and I was on the wrong side of 40 I hadn't a clue what I wanted but within minutes Joanne understood my concern and we decided on a BLACK dress. She also created two very elegant bridesmaid gowns in grey satin and even a little matching pouch for our dog who was a the ring bearer lol Joanne in famous for embroidery and I was delighted when she introduced a bespoke design on the back of my dress, absolutely beautiful.Ladies enjoy this experience, Joanne will look after you every step of the way, you will not be disappointed.

Absolutely amazing dress maker and her products are beyond magical! She gave me the wonderous opportunity of re-wearing my mum's wedding dress that Joanne herself talently hand crafted and because of her we are able to start our sentimental family tradition. Having tried on a variety of different dresses, I still felt like I hadn’t found “the one” and so made an appointment with Joanne to discuss having a dress made for me. From the outset Joanne’s confidence and wealth of knowledge and experience filled me with excitement at the prospect of her designing a dress just for me. Joanne listened intently to my ideas of the style and look I was hoping for and made her own very appropriate suggestions also to suit my personality and body shape etc and designed the perfect dress complete with beautiful fabric, featuring incredible details hand sewn by her. Whilst planning a wedding can be stressful, Joanne made the dress making process an absolute delight and each fitting was so exciting as I watched the dress coming together. The final result was absolutely incredible - Joanne had managed to make my vision a reality (and I can honestly say that wearing a dress made exactly to your shape is an absolute joy!!) Joanne was a pleasure to work with and extremely talented, skilled and knowledgable in the dress making industry. I would have no hesitation in recommending her services to anyone.
