Puppy School Lancaster & Morecambe

Kelly is an amazing teacher/trainer, we learnt so many valuable skills to use with our puppy. The classes were great fun, and we were all really sad when the six weeks came to an end!

As first time dog owners in the Lancaster and Morecambe area and finding out about puppy school, we were a bit nervous and inexperienced. Puppies are hard, and the added thought of turning up with some other owners was a little daunting.However, after some initial emails and explanations we were put at ease and we went to the puppy school in Heysham.We didn't really know then but I guess what you are looking for in a trainer is someone with experience in all the different aspects of dog training and general life that a puppy or new dog throws at you, but who is also approachable and adaptable to the many different situations that present themselves.Above all you need someone that an put you at your ease, with a laugh and who radiates confidence but warmth.The classes were kept to a small number of dogs so you had plenty of hands on time, and 1:1 time with Kelly, and there was lots of encouragement and opportunity to ask loads of questions. There are also other classes that you can do, and regular group walks which I attended and were a real help to meet other people and chat all things canine.Having not had any experience of dogs before getting our puppy I feel much, much more confident in a lot of things. Our puppy is 8 months old as I write this and not perfect, but we have loads more tools in the toolbox to be able to have a really fun time with her.I would very much recommend any of the courses to you. You'll learn something new, and you'll have a really rewarding and fun time.

Kelly has been so helpful, not just with regards to the classes but support as required with any questions or worries we have regarding Lola our dog as she gets older. We recently had a concern about house training and her advice was clear and easy to follow, and more importantly, it seems to have worked! Enid (the cocker spaniel) absolutely LOVED Kelly’s classes, as soon as we got out of the car she would run up the path!Kelly’s patience and kind nature helped us to build our bond with pup, and learn how to positively reinforce her good behaviour. As a proud puppy owner, I can't help but share the experience we had at Puppy School Lancaster.From the moment Kelly walked through our door to meet our Rhodesian Ridgeback pup before he started the course, we knew we were in for something truly special.The puppy classes quickly became our haven, a place where our pup could thrive and learn under the nurturing guidance of a passionate trainer. Every week we could tell he knew it was time for puppy school with his building excitement.The classes created such a warm and inviting atmosphere, both for us humans and our beloved pups.But what truly makes Puppy School Lancaster shine is Kelly herself. Her expertise in understanding canine behaviour, her extensive knowledge of training techniques, and her unwavering dedication to positive reinforcement are unmatched. Every class became an enchanting experience because of her contagious enthusiasm and genuine love for each and every puppy in her care.We were given fun homework tasks and follow up information weekly after each course.The training sessions were not only well-structured but also highly engaging, even to us humans, specifically tailored to address the unique needs of every breed of puppy in the room, from mastering basic obedience commands to honing essential socialisation skills - the course covered it all and helped our puppy learn the essentials of being a well-behaved and confident dog – even how to navigate an assault course, something we never imagined us doing.Kelly's use of positive reinforcement techniques not only encouraged us to learn and grow, but also fostered a deep and unbreakable bond between us and our pup.We also enrolled to super pups, the follow on course and that was just as good, if not better.We made life-long friends and our pup is now a complete dog – the courses are more than worth every penny.

We are 3 weeks in and what a difference already, I am more confident, and I absolutely love the classes I will be sad when my 6 weeks is up, but Kelly is an amazing teacher, helper, supporter and someone I will keep intouch with. I’m so impressed with her classes I highly recommend them to anyone just a major confidence boost for you and your pup to start out on the right track and skills for life.I would of never of dreamed of taking my pup out for dinner with my son but the settle Kelly taught us changed all that, I’m forever grateful and still have 3 weeks left. X

Sansa and I have loved our classes with Kelly. We have done puppy, super pups and hoopers. Not only has it given structure to training an energetic spaniel but also helped make her a very sociable girl and fantastic at mixing with other dogs. The community and friends we have also gained are amazing and we would be lost without them.

Brought my rescue puppy to the beginners classes with Kelly and had an absolutely amazing time. Kelly was so supportive both in and out of class and was a cheerleader for absolutely all the pups making sure they were listening and learning throughout the small moments of controlled chaos! We had an absolute blast and learnt skills for life. Thank you!! Edit: Goose (my puppy) and I are starting our second class with Kelly next month and on my recommendation my friend has taken their pup to the beginner classes too. I really do think this is the best start for your puppy journey!

We had an excellent time and learnt so much when we attended puppy school. Kelly the instructor was very approachable, knowledgeable and entertaining, she really knows her stuff. Our puppy really enjoyed it too being able to interact with other people and dogs, it definitely has given us more confidence as owners.

Winston and I throughly enjoyed our classes, didn’t want them to end! Kelly was so patient and made each lesson fun! We learnt so much and got to meet some lovely people and their pups in our group. Would highly recommend joining a class if you have a new puppy!
