My wife and i took dog on park after a week of heavy rain found grass got very water logged and boggy next to car park.

Surprising how big it is. Got a play area, tennis courts (not sure about nets). Cricket club and bowls. Also good for sledging! Shame about the toilets being closed and no big swings for the bigger kids.

Lovely recreation ground with open space and mature trees. Toilets out of action. Nice cricket club and natural amphitheatre. Views across Allestree from the embankment. Convenient parking but can get busy if park in full use.
