Staff are very hit and miss. I've just started working, informed them as much yet still getting calls demanding I come to an appointment and threatening me. Building itself looks to have been built in the 80's and never refurbished. Mostly unfriendly staff with an unwelcoming atmostphere.

I don't like being unemployed or disabled but there's not much I can do about it. Its not easy getting a job when you are not as mobile or fit as you used to be.And now It's.(job searches) are done by the claimants on line. So if you are over 50. And not I. T. literate you dont stand much of a chance.it seems to cater for the younger generation who received I. T.lessons at school. Not people my age who are coming up to the end of their careers after working all their lives and want to finish off their Careers by working instead of living on.benefits.

Following the recent untimely death of my wife I found it necessary visit the DWP/Job Centre Plus in Salford.After just a few minutes of arriving, I was called up to the desk by the attendant Janet.After explaining my situation to her, and what I had been advised to do following a previous phone call to the DWP, I was met with compassion for my situation, I was put at ease by Janet and found she clearly understood the way I was feeling. The whole process was made simple and painless.Thank you Janet

Awful atmosphere. Feels like your being judged by the 'employed workers' . There is way too much security as you walk in and it's 20 questions when you walk in the door even though you have an appointment. The staff make you feel like you've done or doing something wrong when you actually haven't. Horrible place
