Action Guitars

Took a couple of my guitars to Andy for set ups and a little work swapping the bridges. Wonderful guy, knows what he's talking about and won't mess you around. He did an excellent job on both very quickly and at a price I'd definitely say was more than fair!

Would 100% recommend Andy to anyone who needs their guitar looking at. Left him with a guitar that had an annoying electrical problem and it came back as if I had just bought it brand new. All within 3 days. Plays better than it ever has and will be returning to him for certain. Great work, quick turnaround and pleasant customer service.Cheers Andy

Meeting Andy for the first time was an absolute pleasure. He was very polite and professional and made me feel very much at ease straight away. His professionalism didn't stop there. He took my 2yr old MIM Fender Strat for restringing and set up. When it came back just 2 days later it was better than when I first bought it or since. His workmanship was excellent and I would highly recommend Andy to any guitarist out there who wants or needs any work doing on their own guitar.

Asked Andy if he could sort some issues I was having with the five way switch on my G&L which he did. What’s blown me away though is the quality of setup that he did. The guitar is playing like a million bucks. 100% recommend him and his work.

I brought 3 acoustics to Andy for a setup, although i thought they played pretty well already. My bad - I am gobsmacked at the difference - almost had to check the serial numbers to make sure they were mine! Smoother, clearer sound, action so low and easy with great intonation all the way up the fretboard and a faster much more playable neck as a result on all three guitars.Andy is a very approachable guy, easy to talk to even for a sofa strummer like me, but has the knowledge and experience to understand what you want - even if you're not too sure yourself! Cannot recommend him highly enough. If you're thinking about having a setup then beg and plead for Andy to fit you in - you won't regret it.

He's done a variety of tasks for me on a variety of different guitars, ranging from basic set-ups, straightening a neck, swapping out pick-ups and addressing frets - each job has been 1st class at a fair price.

I took my guitar to Andy@ActionGuitars to resolve some issues with an upgrade to my wiring as well as replacement pick-ups which were not working.Having contacted Andy on the week of Christmas I took the guitar in and was welcomed into his workshop to talk through my needs. I was over the moon to hear my issues had been resolved and I could pick the guitar up having been worked on and set up.I couldn’t be happier with the service I received and am really happy I followed up on a recommendation. I have already discussed future work on another guitar and cannot recommend action guitars enough.
