Blue Door

I had been with the practice for 10 years and signed up for their dental plan in February. At my hygienist appointment in April loads of issues were identified that the dentist should have picked up on (I’ve been going for 2 dental check ups every year). The first appointment I could get for these issues was JUNE! On the morning of the June appointment the receptionist phoned to cancel - rescheduled for following week. That was also cancelled and rescheduled. On the morning of the re-re-rearranged appointment it was cancelled again!! Next appointment offered is for SEPTEMBER! I’ve found another dentist who will see me next week.

I-i don’t know how to explain this really but I’m a 13 yr child and I went here bc my tooth hurt really bad and they decided to I think drill the nerve in my tooth and this was like 4 months ago and it’s hurting really bad as it was getting drilled I was begging and screaming/crying for them to stop but they wouldn’t stop and just said “look I’ve got other clients so hurry up and sit still” i couldn’t handle the pain and I’m not someone to say to someone else to stop..

I got recommend by a close friend to go to blue door dental practice and see Scott McLean, I hadn't been registered for a good number of years anywhere, I was not disappointed. He acted in a very professional way he eased my worries and concerns I had. He was Quick, efficient, and painless. I now have over come my fear of the dentist and look forward to going back. As I was recommended I highly recommend Scott McLean and the rest of the members of staff.

Would not recommend.To be fair the dentist (if you can actually see one) are great. The receptionist as rude and obnoxious.Appointment repeatedly cancelled at short notice.Do not go here if you are a NHS patient as they prioritise their private patients.Wait times are 12+ month even for children in pain.

Deeply annoyed and feeling let down by the Blue door dentist after being a patient for the past 13 years. Have been waiting since April 2022 for an appointment and it is now January 2023. They messaged today one week before my appointment date saying my appointment has been cancelled due to the practise turning private and will no longer be seeing NHS patients.What makes this even more frustrating is the fact I've been waiting all this time with a tooth that needs removed due to poor work carried out by them some years ago. Since April I have been waiting patiently in pain with severe swelling hoping to get this tooth dealt with only to be let down miserably.

After being petrified of dentist for years due to a bad experience I finally went to Tomas at blue door. He was excellent with me very reassuring. I had a lot of work done on my teeth. Today was the last day of treatment till my next check up. Highly recommended and wouldn’t go anywhere else or trust another dentist. Keep up the good work Tomas and staff.

Called this morning about access.. Turned out be infected tooth. Grateful Graham and Amy done extraction. Best dentists I ever have had. Keep up great work your doing @ Blue Door

Disgusting the way this practice is treating patients who have been with them for years. I have had numerous appointments cancelled, have had an infection in my gum since August last year, sent numerous emails and called only got back to me when I complained in writing to be told the work to sort infection will not be carried out under the NHS and that no appointments before June. They don’t care how they treat people!

Total rubbish dentist keep cancelling your appointments with stupid excuses been cancelled three times already ,due to finally get seen in november and they leave me a voicemail saying dentist has just handed in his resignation so there will be no appointment worst dentist in Dumfries going by the reviews .

If I could give zero stars ot would be to much what a joke stay away if you are need any help
