Tony replaced the battery on my favourite watch this afternoon. The service was really efficient and he was so friendly, making conversation with me and my mum as he worked. He also showed me some examples of work on Louboutin soles when I enquired about the service and showed me the materials used. I'll definitely be back!

As always, Tony was goodhumoured and full of initiative - it's why we come into town to use this particular Timpson. He didn't even hold it against us that we're Man U fans!

Such friendly service, done to perfection every time. I will certainly be back in a flash.

Used this branch to replace heel tips and was very pleased with results - no damage caused to the shoes whilst they were 'sanded' down to the correct size (this has happended elsewhere before). Also got some holes punched into my belts and the size and spacing was perfectly matched to the existing holes. Would reommend!

Full restoration also required replacement of Welts so the leather soles could be again stitched to the upper sections. This is Timpson Newcastle branch up the fresh flowers corridor of the World Famous Fenwick's Superstore on the Toons most important Street, Northumberland Street. This guy knows what he's doing. And he explains what is needed and how much it will cost before he starts. He was very good to me and gave me some discount once I had explained what I needed and why. He sorted the key cut and have me a suitable key ring completely free. This was in recognition of being a service Veteran. Which was very kind I thought. One needs only a tiny bit of kindness to brighten one's whole day. It's best to be honest I did make a mental note of his name I think it was Tony. It is hopeless of me not to know it. Yet better to be truthful. If you want a key cutting or some shoes sorted out in the Toon, this is the guy everyone knows where Fenwick's Superstore is. And he's inside it.

They do not offer dry cleaning. Despite the service finder and store page on their website advising they do. Wasted journey.

I'm feeling very cross this evening. I took in 2 keys for 6 copies of each this afternoon and only 5 out of the 12 work properly! When I compared the original with the copies it's actually obvious to the naked eye that they were not well done but I took it that the two men there knew what they were doing and didn't check until I tried them in the doors. It cost me £56!! I hope I can have this rectified at a different branch of Timpsons because I don't feel like returning there.

The service here is always excellent and today he definitely went the extra mile with an imaginative solution to an away ward shoe problem. Brilliant!
