I wanted to write this review so that others who are facing challenging decisions at what is the hardest time of life can take some comfort in knowing that this funeral directors genuinely cares and will try and help you as much as they can. My personal gratitude goes out to Nichola Wickenden, the branch manager at Lewisham. She is truly a compassionate and kind individual. I must have called and emailed her over a dozen times and she was also ready to help no matter what the query.From the initial phone call the service was exemplary and so supportive and understanding.Nichola helped me through the saddest of days following my late Fathers passing.Mears family funerals is very honest and open with regards to pricing. Even after the cremation they were there to help me.I can honestly recommend Nichola without any hesitation as she has helped me through what was the hardest process I have ever had to bear. The company should be very proud of their service and we will be forever grateful to them for conducting the funeral with the utmost dignity and respect. Thank you Mears and Nichola.

We had simply the best experience possible with Mears. From initial phone call the service was exemplary and so supportive and understanding. Nichola helped us navigate through dark days following my sister's suicide - she was pragmatic and efficient when needed and supportive and guiding when that was required. The pricing was very good and simple - all pressure and decision making was taken away. She organised a celebrant efficiently and calmly and the funeral director at the crematorium was wonderful and understanding. Even going the extra mile to help us with the funeral afters at no charge and to simply help ease our burden. The company should be very proud of their service and we will be forever grateful.

When my partner died recently, I started shopping around for a funeral home who would be supportive, caring and one who had my best interest at heart. Mears Family Funeral in Ladywell was my final stop of three and when I met Sharon I knew right away that this was going to be my choice. She was very thorough in informing me of the type of services they provided and gave me brochures and an estimate of the costs that I could take my time over the weekend without any pressure.I made an appointment the following Monday to make a decision and met Nichola. NIchola from the start was very supportive and helpful with ideas of mine that I wanted to incorporate into the cremation and service. I felt I could call or email Nichola whenever I was unsure of something which was quite helpful.Nichola was so supportive towards me the day I went to view my partner on the day before the cremation. She was very empathetic and this is a quality you need from someone in this business when you are quite. vulnerable. Both Sharon and Nichola are assets to Mears Family Funerals. I hope and pray that I don't have another death in my family anytime soon, but If I do I would not hesitate to do business again with Mears Family Funerals. I recommend them wholeheartedly.

I highly recommend Mears Family Funerals Ladywell BranchWhen we found ourselves organising our 1st funeral we didn’t know where to startNatalie knew and made everything so quick and easy and not a single thing was missed.She found us the most incredible Reverend you could if asked for !!We are very happy with everything from the little details to the phone calls from and too NatalieShe kept us updated when they had collected my father from the coroners officeShe called to say dad had arrived with her and could visit when we were ready.We stayed most of the afternoonShe allowed us to make dad one last cup of tea & moved the table so it was next to himShe made us tea & coffee and gave us a fan when we visiting through the heatwaveThe day after the funeral I called upset that maybe we didn’t get my dads thumb print ,of course they did !!!! I would highly recommend Mears. Due to public holidays we were on a tight schedule but Mears were always on hand and quick to follow up with helping us finalise the arrangements. The staff on the day were respectful and professional. The manager at the office we dealt with at was surprisingly quite upbeat. But given how emotionally distressed we all were this was in fact a tonic and helped us get through it all. Thank you Mears.

We have just used Mears Family Funerals in Lewisham for the burial of my brother and I cannot rate the company high enough. Nichola guided us through the process and the unexpected legal complications to do with the grave site. Nothing was too much trouble. We had to change something last minute and it literally was on the morning of the funeral, but she made sure to accommodate our wishes. Her professionalism and communication was excellent throughout and she made the process so much easier because of that. Thank you Nichola and Mears Family Funerals!
