Started getting our meat from here recently due to lockdown and supporting local businesses. Always friendly and quality meat every time. The sausages are amazing and the fillet steak we’ve had a few times and was so good.

Simply outstanding. Quality at an affordable price. Everything is great but I can personally vouch for the Bacon, Sausages and Chickens! Keep an eye out for the special deals on Joint packs, BBQ packs in the Summer and High Protein / Low Fat packs for this time of the year as well!! If you are not sure about anything or want advice - just ask. Put them tot the test ... You will never go back to Malpass again!!

I'm going to be buying a joint of beef from this place today and am salivating at the thought of eating it later as I have never, ever had any meat that is sub-standard. The guys here are very friendly and committed to providing an excellent service!Anyone reading the bad reviews, which have been posted in a short space of time, and are taking it seriously, need to think about it. They're sketchy at best with why it's bad and I don't believe for one minute that someone bought meat that was 'green' as you're either choosing it yourself or are shown close up what you're purchasing.A poor attempt, in my opinion, from people with little better to do with their time.

I have shopped in Southwick Square meats for 15 years and have never had a bad experience. All of the staff are very happy, friendly and go above and beyond. John gave me a lift home once when I didn't feel very well with a migraine. He also offered to deliver to us for free when my son was ill. They make our community better with their banter and community spirit. In fact when my children were younger the butchers was their go to place if they were worried. As for the meat I have never been disappointed. I always used supermarkets but was so impressed with their great quality and very competitive prices, I buy all of my meat in there. My family look forward to the meat hampers we get at Christmas and I definitely recommend them.

This is genuinely a 5 star butcher.Their meat is grass fed and traceable, which is important as factory farmed grain fed meat is not healthy to eat and no good for the environment. I can attest to the lack of chemicals in the meat after blood tests.It's great to know the animals had a good life reared sustainably.Their own produce, sausages etc., is excellent - the gluten free sausages and burgers are fabulous.They also stock a wide variety of meats such as Ostrich, Kangaroo, Camel, Zebra, Crocodile, so you can indulge in something exotic knowing they had to be shot through the head at a distance, the most humane way possible.On top of all that, they're extremely welcoming, informative and friendly.They even deliver locally.Highly recommended.

Brilliant staff that take the time to get to.know you, remember your name and promote a great community feel. Can have a good banter and chat and they always make you feel like you are their most important customer
