Love the Orwell bride I live not far from it on the side of Gainsborough I have access to the lairs where it takes me 5/10 minutes walking distance to the bridge and the River Orwell

Another accident on the Orwell Bridge that is not speed related. Remove the 60 MPH! Variable speed system only there to make money. Need to look at yet accidents happen on this bridge and install a real solution. Maybe an alternative route. Say a tunnel to divert and to stop closure in high winds. Reduce accidents due to distractions related to the bridge design.

Windy day........all hell breaks loose. Lorries, vans, buses and even cars are prevented from using it, diverting everything A12 northbound and A14 to/from Felixstowe port through the centre of Ipswich. Unclear as to why cars are prevented from using it on a windy day, other than that it may be easier for the Police to manage. Needs rectifying!!

Visually stunning construction with beatiful backdrops. A footpath on the west bank of the river is the best place to appreciate it.

Poor road management. Too many HGVs which need to be kept in the inside lane. Closed often for wind speed when just need HGVs banned when windy

A great bridge used it my entire life. Sadly due to the amount of incidents on the bridge you can no longer walk it. A warning to tourist who wish to walk it, it will cause the entire bridge to shutdown and is a huge issue you can walk bellow it and enjoy some of the few beautiful areas of Ipswich Town.
