I wasn't sure what to expect from the State Rooms tour. However, I think it's well worth the entry fee, and the included audio commentary was enough to be interesting but short enough not to feel like a history lesson.Don't forget to look up, some of the ceilings are incredible. Unfortunately, there are strictly no inside pictures. The staff are lovely and you can take as long as you like for the visit. The garden cafe is a bit pricy but enjoy the view of the beautiful gardens and savour the experience of being in the Palace.Unique souvenirs are available in the shop on the way out. Who can resist some Buckingham Palace goodies or a corgie or 2.

What a great day really well organised went with Middletons coaches on day trip. Would recommend an organised trip, as u get in without having to wait in a long queue. U get audio guide. A lot of walking but worth it. The caffe at the Palace is not expensive £3.20 for cappuccino.

Lovely ... although one member of staff at the end was shouting at people to return headsets and tablets whereas there were enough people outside able to take them. Then the wasps. .. if you have jam they seem to target you we had 6 which wasn't very pleasant. There are certain things you can do (not able to use your phone to take pictures as they will confiscate it and airport scanning when you go on) so read up before and no toilet access before but they are at the end.Shop is expensive but if you fancy anything special that's where to get it. Drinks and cakes are on the high side.too but worth it!

The State Rooms are an excellent insight into Buckingham Palace, however, it was very busy and difficult to see some elements due to the volume of people. The cafe on the terrace at the end of the tour was a disappointment, choice and price being the issue.

I bought the tickets 3 months before ( march 2023). Too crowded inside, many people in the same time.Very beautiful inside all the rooms.Visited July 2023

Amazing. Not too many rooms included, it is nonetheless worth seeing (plus the fact that you are actually inside Buckingham Palace!!!) - rooms open are mostly the main ones where the monarch entertains diplomats, prime ministers, other heads of state, commonwealth reps, privy council; eg. grand hall, quadrangle 'behind' the frontage of Buckingham Palace that everyone sees from the outside, dining room, painting gallery, music room, ball room, etc and the gardens where the monarch invites thousands to private garden parties. Note: Photos not permitted inside; only when you finish the tour and come out to the gardens and the cafe (no walking on the grounds either)! Cafe has sandwiches, cakes, scones and clotted cream, coffee, tea etc. Public toilets are also located near here at the end of the tour route. Headphones and visual information display included for all included parts of the palace.

Definitely a MUST-VISIT place, although tickets may go pretty fast. You may get to enter earlier than your appointed time (we got a ticket for 17:00 but they let us in by 12:00).

My second time to BP in 9 years and I loved it just as much as the first time. I am glad the ticket earnings go towards conserving this history. The palace is over the top & just wonderful. I love the portrait gallery and the drawing rooms. Staff are lovely and it's a well organised system. I wish I could go back in time and see it when Queen Victoria was alive. Well done to all involved and please keep up the good work.
