St Mary the Virgin Church

Lovely Service. One of the rare village churches with a full choir.

I came to visit today after many years of admiring this church. As someone who works with stone & works in restoration churches are the pinnacle of my job. On arrival I met two lovely gentleman leaving the church who after a brief chat told me where all the info was inside. As i walked round the church looking for the carved datum i was met with a lady leaving the back of the church..she took one look at me & said there’s no lead on this roof we moved it because of people like you. I have never been so insulted & to be accused of something like that is a disgrace. I take nothing but pride in my job. After a few choice words from me i left with my dog.A cracking morning spoilt.I hope visitors get more respect next time.
