Bought an 8 string baritone guitar off of reverb and when it arrived I was having serious complications with the neck. Looked like issues with the pocket that was badly affecting the action and playability and I nearly gave up on it. Gave it to Joe who took it apart, reseated and cleared the neck pocket so it sat properly, set it up perfectly and when I got it back it was like a brand new instrument. I'll be taking all my guitars to Joe for pre-studio, pre-gig and just general setups from now on. Can't recommend enough.

Joe us a great luthier. Your treasured instruments are in safe hands with him. His prices are fair. His communication is top notch. His work is excellent.To top it all he has a gorgeous and friendly dog who will come and say hi (if you like dogs, Joe asks first ir keeps him out of the way).If you cannot get to him he offers collection and drop off in the Bournemouth area.Top rated service.

I've been playing for over 20 years now and have had Joe sort out various electric and acoustic guitars and basses including set ups, pickup swaps and repairs. His craft is impeccable and his knowledge and advice has been invariably excellent. I've no need to go anywhere else.

Excellent work from Joe, I'd never had a professional service and set up on my bass before (only what passes as one from retail outlets when buying an instrument) and this was a whole different ball game. An immediate improvement was noticeable, I could play faster and smoother - I didn't expect that! The bass really looked the part afterwards as well, rusty frets gone, marks on the fingerboard gone, nice polished and clean!Professional, knowledgeable and personable, enjoyed having a chat whist he worked.Thanks Joe!

Excellent service and my acoustic guitar hasn't played this nicely in year. Not only that but the work done to file down the saddle has had a fantastic impact boosting the signal and tone of my under saddle pickup. Cannot recommend more highly!
