The Gothic Mansion

Some say it's haunted but I loved exploring the house and finding the different floors and rooms. Only downside is that the Wi-Fi wasn't great but that's the only improvement it needs in my opinion.

DO NOT BOOK.Booked a hen there however due to covid restrictions, we were unable to go since it was ILLEGAL. The venue refused to refund any money even though the reason for cancelling was beyond our control!!!

This place is pretty awesome. Not too far from town and Templemeads station. There are 10+ spacious bedrooms, multiple reception rooms and a vast dining room. Ideal for a family gathering or similar event.

What a lovely, charming place. My friends and I booked for a reunion on the recommendation of my son. Very comfortable beds, rooms full of character and history. We had a lovely time catching up in such a special house.

I made a return visit to the mansion for a business workshop. The mansion has lots of facilities and was perfect for our team building exercise. In the evening we were also able to have a home cooked meal together, in the main dining room. We are coming back later in the year.

Amazing location ! lovely atmosphere!

The building looked amazing from the outside, but inside I found disappointing, my single bed (I would say a child's bed) had a broken base, the wardrobe was far to small, again I would say a child's one and the doors did not close once clothes were in, broken curtain rail one side, so could not pull curtain across, shabby wall decor, on the plus side the ensuite was of a good standard.Hallway: could not turn off large radiator, ( would be ok in winter). For the size of accommodation TV far to small.Stairs down to kitchen could do with another hand rail a member of our party had difficulty in going down stairs. Kitchen did not have sufficient fridges for size of parties the house can accommodate. Insufficient bathrooms too.

I came to stay with my big family for my grandmother's birthday in August. The house was lovely and the rooms were beautiful. There was plenty of space for us all and the children thoroughly enjoyed running through the rooms. I would really recommend this for anyone looking to stay. It is an absolutely fantastic place and I will definitely stay again!

Excellent place, went there with a group of 40 people and had an excellent time. The team we spoke to to organise and pay for it are very professional and made things very easy for us, they were very helpful and welcoming. It was incredible to stay there, especially for the price per person. Would definitely go again.
