Rheidol Retail Car Park

Short stay.... hence all tge spaces available

Car park is one of the worst layed out car parks I have ever been too. Been there twice and both times had to que to get in and out. Took 15 mins to get out. Only went to Argos to collect something quickly.

Park on here to shop at Lidl or go round town first. The parking is very small for some vehicles so watch your doors. Also keep a very good lookout for the parking time count from the second you get past the cameras. Then get back with at least 5 to 10mins to spare as it can get very busy. A lot of people have had a ticket after getting back with a little time to spare. Not good enough as when it's busy you get stuck in your car trying to get out. Unfortunately the carpark company don't give an inch and think nothing of charging you for a few seconds. But it's a handy carpark and if your sensible your safe.

Do Not stay in car park overtime as parking eye will send you a nice charge notice. Its a car park for argos, iceland, lidl & mountain wearhouse. All shops are good as expected. Also close to town & handy for craft 2nd hand shop.

Good place to park if you need to visit a few shops

After a 3 hour journey in an electric car the rapid charger was not working so we had to use the slow one. My husband is a blue badge holder and it takes a bit longer to sort things so by the time we had parked and plugged in it was nearly half an hour. We then realised we would not be able to charge the car for the journey home as it needed a few hours and have to find another place. This was a huge inconvenience and the shops lost out as because he walks slowly on crutches we couldn't get to most of them. The government need to do something to change this. In the mean time we will not be returning here ever. People are mentioning 2 hours parking. The signage says 90 minutes. BEWARE!

Had a great time shopping at the retail park. However several days after I received a penalty notice for overstaying the two hours free parking. I say parking, but I mean entering the car park. They photograph you as you enter and leave. You aren't told this and as it took ages to park (lots of people coming and going) I had ages to wait to pull into a space. Not realising it was two hours from entry I noted the time of parking and returned before the two hours were up. I queued to exit the car park too. This was classed as the time I parked. SO A WARNING TO EVERYONE, note the time you enter the car park and not the time of parking. Despite there being no actual loss to the retail park for me allegedly overstaying the parking time. It's a greater loss to the companies on the site as I won't be returning!

Parking spaces, Argos, Lidle, Iceland, Mountain warehouse, easy access to the town centre shops too. 2 hour max stay. Then go round the corner to Tescos car park, 3 hour max stay there! Nice little park next door. Go do a Park run on Saturday morning, then shop. (No Idea what I'm on about? Never mind, there's a car park there, use it)

You get a £85 fine if you go one second over the 2 hour limit, despite no signage telling you there is a limit. Just got a £85 fine for under 3 hours stay. This has put me off EVER visiting Aberwystwyth EVER again. Even the shop in front of where we parked was abandoned.

Update 04/04/2022New Lidl store now open and very well stocked. Car park completed with spaces suitable for the larger vehicle on today's roads. Still time restrictions on parking though...beware !!Car park is a bit of a mess due to the new Lidl store being constructed. Also please be aware of the strict 90 minutes parking. You will be fined over that time. Don't think you have got away with it by having no ticket on your car, the fine comes by post !!
