Visited CC201 show room to buy new bat and pads for my son.Nick spent time to assess his needs and suggested a number of options out of a wide range of bats sourced from bespoke suppliers.Helpful advice on bat selection, preparation and care - Nick was happy to answer the many questions my son had on a range of cricketing topics.Highly recommended if you are in the market for specialist equipment and straightforward advice.

My first game with the bat. Ball absolutely flies. Not much effort required to hit the ball to boundaries. Towing the ball for six shows how you don’t even need to time it fully for it to go the full distance. I was really impressed with the bat. A quick 53 from 35 balls was aided massively by the bat. Sound off the bat was brilliant.The personal service provided by Nick was brilliant. Honest opinions and really helpful advice for which one to choose.Thank you Nick!

My son was looking for a new bat to take with him on his college tour to South Africa in February 2024. Ok, to be honest I wasn’t keen to be spending an exorbitant amount of money on another bat just before Christmas, but I was ok to look to see what was out there as long as they were at a reasonable price.By chance, on using google maps to plan a route, I came across Custom Cricket 201 which is based in Hove. Being quite close to us, I suggested that we take a look.We met Nick Beever and were ushered into his ‘Bat Room’. Within minutes my son snd Nick were in deep discussion on what he was looking for etc. Nick asked if he had ever considered a Butterfly Bat and put one in his hand to try out. From that point, a new chapter was opened.Nick is passionate about the game and keen to stock and promote high quality made bats at realistic prices. Well worth a visit for all your cricket needs

Was brilliant to visit Nick's bat cave: he made it a really magical experience for my son picking out a new bat for his birthday. Worth the hour's drive for the buying experience alone. Great value for handmade English willow: he can't wait for the season to start!

Great place to buy fantastic bats and other cricket gears for a reasonable bargain. Nick is a great guy, most importantly knows a lot about bats.Amazing experience

My son has recently got into cricket and it’s safe to say he is obsessed. He has recently joined a local cricket team and required a new bat. We contacted custom cricket and from the start Nick was amazing. My son left with a bag full of new gear, a bat and was shaking with excitement. Nick was brilliant from start to finish. Really flexible and responsive to find a time to take a look at his kit. Super helpful in helping me select the bat I needed. As a totally new player he really took the time to explain everything I needed to know. He didn't try and pressure me into buying a more expensive bat than I would need. He gave me a discount because I was buying quite a bit and even threw in his old kit bag for free! Top bloke with quality equipment who you can tell loves the sport and knows his stuff. Highly recommend.

We had such a wonderful experience, buying a new bat for my son. Nick was so generous with his time and knowledge which meant my son could get the right feel of the bats. It was such a pleasure to feel his creativity and passion. Highly recommend this place.

Nick is a great down to earth guy who is extremely passionate and knowledgeable about all things cricket. Fantastic process of selecting bats as he doesn't press you to make a decision but will help point you in the right direction with what he thinks is right. Also great prices with bats and won't rip you off like other places. He has also been extremely helpful afterwards as well with answering any questions.Definitely recommend to everyone, but especially to anyone who is hesitant about getting a new bat or is unsure of what they want/need as you will definitely not be after a visit.
