I have to say the business department has been a real let down and the whole situation with the course has been completely Mess and unorganised. In my first year, we were promised about the marketing suite and being able to use it more frequently to be able to do different assignments. However, the things I advertise on the open day and on the website seem to be very untrue because in the whole year that I’ve been studying this course and it’s a digital marketing program. We have not been in the digital marketing suite at all. This is a nine grand course, and how can you expect anyone to do a course without the appropriate software and being able to access designed and specified areas to be able to do production and digital marketing content. It seems very misleading from what has been said on the videos, open days and advertised on your website. It’s a real let down and I’m not at all impressed and even you can’t get any cameras because apparently it’s not a creative of course when digital marketing is.The whole business department is run really badly staff constantly leave, and it’s probably one of the worst universities that I’ve decided to go to .The support is a dismal and the whole environment is very toxic and not nice for student environment. Guild don’t do nothing and even if you speak to the teachers about these issues and problems they just don’t want to know and they don’t care .AVOID

I feel like the support was there in the first 2 years. Then halfway through the second year, the support then started to dissipate with new staff.I feel the staff in the business team never looked at the support plan. I had to literally fight to get what needed to make noise as no one was listening.Above all, I faced isolation because mentally I was getting so drained and so fed up of the whole situation. It caused a lot of issues for mental health and as had really negative impact on it. Complete lack of understanding about any support needs. The support service and wellbeing did fanatic job every time I said they wanted to leave the course. It got to that point because the staff were so was to busy not read or pass on details. It just felt the business team just saw me as another problem that they had to deal with. And it didn't really come up to me and actually try and see what was going on. They just sent this very serious email about my attendance, which causes serious impact. The whole severity of my mental health issues were all down to how the business department dealt with things because they just couldn't deal with it. That just didn't know even though it was there in black and white. The lecturing business team that was meant to be there to support me just didn't reach out and caused isolation and mental health issues. Even though they're concerns.A lot has changed in this university. It's not the same university I joined three years ago and certainly not the same environment you can see change and feeling in air. Over the three years, i've been on this course, 6 or 7, staff left. Having to go for the process again to try and speak to the new staff, so they can understand if they're teaching me.There are lack of study spaces, and this is a main problem in the University areas. You can't find anywhere to study is normally really busy and normally really loud. So you really can't get the work that you need done. I feel like they re pushing for the sixth form and all these fancy new courses. But what about the University experience of those who actually are paying the 9 grand to come to a University which I can't study in? Because it's too loud and I feel like it's too loud and I feel like it's completely useless.I just think it's completely wrong of how they have dealt with it. And I really do not recommend it. I do not wish to be gaslighted with you on league table when basic things been disregarded.

Highly would NOT recommend. Not sure what their team gets paid for. They never reply to the emails, you need to call them, but they only answer if they're in a mood for it. Most of the time they will just pick up the phone and instantly hang up on you. And the amount of times they have lost my documents... Poor communication skills not only with their students and their future students, but among themselves as well. Not to mention the quality of studies (which is an absolute joke).

I hate the place i try to be happy coming to this place honestly regret joining here or opting for my course specifically. Other than the practical base of course which is extremely good(10% of entire course) rest everything i deeply feel its not at all worth it. I give this star only for the practicals and nothing else. For a course named culinary arts management (90% is fully business related only) its like, misuseing the word culinary" onto a MBA related stuff. The amount of money i wasted on this course. I seen alot of people struggling here especially my class and extremely regret coming to uk as well.Update- still been a bad choice i chose this college over something nicer and useful to me as of now in dessertation period we are informed by the staff only 30% people gonna pass on my course. I cant bielive i trusted an advertisement for the top college in uk. I seen people in my class took loans and had to drop out from this uni

I studied at UCB as an Aviation Management student for three years. These were the best three years I could've asked for from a university, my lecturers were amazing, so inspiring and knowledgeable as they had all worked in industry. I would recommend UCB to anyone looking for a great support system and real life experience in a desired industry. I felt very welcomed and help was there whenever I needed it, with really understanding and helpful individuals. I now have a role in industry and I would definitely take my studies further with this university.

I did my MSc in Hospitality and Tourism Management at UCB and had the best time! The course was great, and I had lots of support from my tutors and the wider university. It’s a small enough place to get to know it easily and not feel overwhelmed. I had an opportunity to get some work experience in admissions department alongside my course. I’ve since secured a job, so I’m really pleased that I chose this university.

University College Birmingham has exceeded my expectations. The lectures are engaging, facilities top-notch, and the Career team, Hired, helped me secure a great placement. Highly recommend!

Terrible college for new students. I would not recommend this. They have clearly enrolled too many people so are now trying to weed people out to get rid of! My daughter being one of them. She’s been told that her attendance is bad and that she always late, which is NOT TRUE!! She turns up everyday and is not late!! Because she is quiet you lot are picking on her! Not everyone is the same and you should know that! Also she’s just bloody started give her a chance to open up!!
