We stopped here today , went to the counter to order , told to take a seat and they would take our order (3 staff on the floor)after 10+ mins had passed and nobody bothered with us we left , the cafe was not packed large group of cyclist(10 at the most) seated outside the rest of the place practically empty , cakes looked nice as did the scones . Its is in a good location for a stop while touring , unfortunately we won't be returning , plenty of other places to stop for coffee and cakes or icecream around this area. Sorry

Food was fantastic -though pricey - with lots of choice. Extensive breakfast menu up to 12pm and nice lunches with daily specials.Rated 4 star rather than 5, as although we really enjoyed it and would return, I’ve marginally marked it down for what feels like very expensive food (eg £9.50 for a sandwich), even in economically difficult times. The staff were also a little cold if I’m being honest. All the right things were being said; at best it was service without genuine warmth or ar worst pretty curt, depending on the member of staff.A beautifully done out cafe. Great little farm shop and nice gifts and homewards. Would still recommend and will also return.

We have been a few times and the cakes are lovely. However, this time we had lunch but the food was not great and the service was terrible. We won't go again for lunch but would still go for coffee and cake as they are lovely.

Delicious ice cream. The farmhouse has a variety of vegetables, baked goods including sourdough and pumpernickel bread. There a tweed scarves and cute little ornaments which makes great gifts. The variety of coffee was surprising as well.Lovely place with friendly staff.

Expensive but very good quality. Would be nice to get 2 sausages and perhaps a hash brown with breakfast.Given the location is so beautiful and remote it is a very nice breakfast in a lovely environment.Staff were really young and really friendly and helpful. A great addition to the farm.Plenty of parking on site.

Previously very good but expensive. However now still expensive but not very good. Staff not very competent and disinterested. Food portions small and very overpriced. Cakes all looked like yesterday's leftovers and one wasn't even covered. The atmosphere wasn't welcoming. The business seems to be going downhill as is evident in the lack of customers.

We called in to the shop to buy our evening meal (frozen ready meal chicken and sides), plus the 10 year old wanted Peppermint Canes! We went back a 2nd time as the carnivores so enjoyed theirs and it was generous fir two people. The cafe was closed when we called in from our adventures exploringbthe Dale's. There is also a Gift Shop and a Wellness Centre. You will need to go onto their website to see what that is allabout!Accessibility:Ramp in from the car park, no designated bays, but spaces close to the entrance. No emergency cord in the loo, but there are bars.Car Park:FreeStaff:Lovely and helpful.Toilets:Assisted (bars) rather than disabled as no emergency cord.

Waited quite some time to be served our cake and drink. Was nice food, but over priced really. Disappointed in the farm shop, no cold meats or raw meats - more of a gift shop than a farm shop

A homely cafe and farm shop. Set back, off the main road to Hawes/Leyburn. Fairhurst's offered a warm welcome. The service is friendly and relaxed. We were well impressed with our lunch. The menu is by no means large, but it covers most lunchtime essentials. I really enjoyed my Pork pie of the day. My wife was impressed with the quiche. The cost was very much the same as other cafe's in the area. It was very relaxing watching the swallows swooping in and out of the courtyard which housed their nests. The farm shop had a very good selection of mostly locally produced foods and goods. A pleasant lunchtime. Thank you.

We were ready for a break on our journey, so this was a spontaneous stop, but what a find! We were very impressed by the quality of the food : I had quiche with salad and it was so tasty. The decorations for Christmas looked lovely and we bought some delicious chutney in the shop, which had been served with my quiche. Would definitely call in again when we are driving through the Dales.
