My experience with Averil Phillips in Oundle was truly exceptional. Wendy and her team go above and beyond with their professionalism, knowledge and genuine empathy at a time when their help is much needed. If you wish to have a setting for you service, the space provided in the Oundle office is perfect. It is very beautiful and serene with a warm, tranquility that made everyone relax. Wendy and her team listened to our needs and requests and I thank them on behalf of all my family for making my mothers send off one that we can all be proud of.

Although a difficult time the team at Averil Philips & Family were all supportive, patient, compassionate and considerate. Giving us the support we needed to ensure that details weren’t forgotten and the time required to make certain that the details were correct.As such always had confidence that everything would be done right and in a way that made it easier.

Sadly one engages with a Funeral Director in extremely sad and emotional circumstances. Wendy at Averil Phillips guided us through the entire process with compassion , understanding , good advice and care. As a family experiencing the loss of a very much loved Wife and Mother we cannot recommend the Company, and Wendy in particular, enough. The Celebration of her life became a heartwarming event ,with Wendys guidance and execution , which we will treasure for years to come.

Not only was she a true professional but her genuine kindness and heartfelt support made a very difficult time slightly easier to manage. Both my family and I would just like to offer a huge ‘Thank you’ to Wendy and her team in Oundle.From the passing of my father in late January to his ‘Celebration of Life’ service held for close family and friends in early March atThe Angel, Wendy offered professional and caring support to us all, and particularly to our Mother.Along with Wendy’s recommended Celebrant ‘Deni’ they helped arrange for a funeral my father would have been exceptionally proud of.We chose to use The Angel facility for the family service, as opposed to the crematorium as it offered a much more relaxed and personal service, and was just perfect.Wendy also helped and attended a larger gathering of friends and associates at a more light-hearted celebration at the Talbot Hotel in Oundle afterwards.We cannot recommend Wendy and her team enough and thank them all.

From the moment we contacted Averil Phillips we felt assured that mum was in safe hands and that we had the support we needed to plan our farewells. Our funeral director ,Wendy ,was sensitive, hard working , organised and caring . We felt as though we were the only clients and no detail was ever too small to matter. Wendy supported us through the cremation service and for the church service afterwards. Even on collecting the ashes in their beautiful homely premises, Wendy had time to talk things through. As a family we feel incredibly fortunate to have found Wendy, in the Oundle office of Averil Phillips, on the day my father passed away. When we first met Wendy, she immediately put us all at ease at such a difficult and very emotional time. She was so compassionate and talked us through the process with sympathy and understanding. We knew my husband was in very safe and caring hands. Wendy was more than happy for us to stop by to speak to her whenever we needed to (and still is) and we have been in regular contact by phone and email. She listened to our needs and dealt with everything on our behalf. As Wendy was on holiday on the day of the funeral, she left very specific instructions with Tim, who rang me on the morning of the funeral to make sure all was ok. He was extremely thoughtful and kind and went out of his way to make sure we were all ok and my husband had the best send off he would have wanted. He and his colleagues were so respectful and kind, even providing us all with large umbrellas to cover us from the downpour.The flowers were also amazing and exactly what we hoped for.From start to finish we were more than happy and grateful for such wonderful service from all involved and would highly recommend Averil Phillips & Family.
