Victoria House Care Home

I wouldn’t give any stars for this home. I wouldn’t recommend it either, if you have an elderly vulnerable relative or family member I don’t suggest placing them here. They will suffer broken bones injuries. They won’t receive personal care, the won’t be assisted to eat . They will be given the wrong dose of medication or someone else medication, therefore my mothers death resulting in an overdose .

I go in to Victoria once a week to style one of the residents hair. What a lovely care home and all the staff are fantastic and very welcoming. Would recommend here.

My wife Janice who suffers from dementia was moved from another home last year and I have to say I was anti the move from another care home — I was totally wrong !The staff are really amazing always smiling willing to do anything for the residents The home itself is bright and cheerful and if they need to they keep in charge with the residents familyNo one wants to see their loved ones living in a care home but if you ever face that sad day I would urge you to give this home your strongest consideration

I have been with Victoria for almost a year now , I came into the job as a trainer and was given the opportunity to advance my career and was offered the deputy managers post. I feel Victoria is now like a family to me. Staff work very hard to give our residents the best care and we have great family support at Victoria. I couldn't have done my job without the great relationship I have with my manager as she has guided and provided me with the knowledge and skills I needed to excel in my new post. All our residents are the heart of Victoria as we as a team thrive to make our residents happy and content within there home.

Mum has been living in Victoria house for 19 months she has been well looked after. Staff are very helpful and friendly activities are very well organised and mum seems content.

I have worked in Victoria House Care Home for over a year now and I have built up positive relationships with residents and the staff team. I work alongside a fantastic team consisting of Deputy Manager, Night shift Manager, Nurses, Care coordinators, Senior care assistants, care assistants, Activities coordinator, Head of kitchen, kitchen assistant, Head Housekeeper, Domestics, Laundry assistants, Maintenance Team and maintenance housekeeping assistant who all strive to ensure that all residents receive a high standard of care. The environment is Fresh and homely for all residents with a beautiful outside garden area for our residents. Residents enjoy good food and a large variety of daily activities. There is also a family liaison officer who is one of our residents family members who offers advice and support to new residents and their families. Great home to work in as a Manager and great support from the directors of the company. Fantastic home to work in.
