Barnes Plastic Welding Equipment Ltd
We purchased a PVC welder from Barnes for a job we were tolled would be perfect for the task. We called Barnes and explained the problem they recommended a FORSTHOFF D Overlap Welding Machine, So we purchased the welded. Long story short it was not in any way suitable as the weld strength was significantly weaker than tape in normal stress (still strong in shear). As the welded was in no way suitable we returned the machine and got charged a 25% restocking fee (about £800). This was not mentioned on there site, it was not mentioned on the phone when we paid the invoice it was not mention on the invoice. AVOID this company as I feel we have been scammed and are not seeking legal advice.
