Yes, its not massive and yes its some ruins of the former cotton mill (the largest of its kind at the time, so we were told) that burnt down quite a few years ago - but its been nicely done, really tidy.Whilst we was there we also had some history given to us from a volunteer. Worth a wonder if in area for the Garden House or Roman Lakes! (Its free to walk round!)

This place we stumbled upon whilst visiting the animal park near by. And if it weren't for the excavations of the once largest mill of its type to exist at the time, it would be just another pleasant pieceful walk by a river. But this really adds to the area. There are some boards dotted around the site explaining what it once was and its history. Its all been made perfectly safe with steel fencing so no need to keep the kids on a short lead, it wasn't busy while we were there and I doubt it ever is. A pieceful hidden gem mainly used by local people and worth a look if your in the area as is the little farm park near by.
