It grows on you!The pictures were from when the place was new. Obviously difficult to maintain and shows the age.But the pool + sauna for just us in the end. Lovely breakfast. So 5 stars.

I was treated to a stay here this past weekend. I can’t say enough how good a stay it was. The food was excellent,( Breakfast,lunch and evening meal) the bar man knew his drinks and his knowledge on drinks and gin was really good. The facility’s were excellent the sauna and pool. The dining staff were very attentive. The whole hotel was very clean inside and out. It was very nice to find a hotel that didn’t slip on quality that also lets you take your dogs with you. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back again

A good stay at the Collingwood Hotel. All the hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent. The position is near the pier and beach - just a five minute walk. Also close to a park - which was good for walking our dog. The beds were very comfortable. The decor in the communal areas was tasteful. All in all a good stay. Just need to note that although we booked a room for elderly parents on ground floor there were three steps to negotiate.

Very comfortable hotel in a great location just minutes from a great beach. Staff very polite and efficient, working with a smile. Food was great. Suits all ages, children catered for with games room and swimming pool. Would highly recommend and visit again.

Fantastic stay right by one of the best beaches in the UK. The staff is super helpful and cheerful. The rooms are absolutely worth the money, has air con to beat the heat and some of the best views from the window.The hotel isn't too expensive even in the peak summer season and being in walking distance to the beach is a massive plus to book this hotel.The restaurant in the hotel serves great food and the caramel ice cream is one of the best we have had in a long long time.Hands down one of the finest Best Western properties out there.

Went for afternoon tea today and opted for the vegan version. Besides their friendly staff, especially Ellie who took such lovely care of us and made sure we had everything we needed, the food is delicious, the coffee great and the atmosphere is more than inviting and relaxing. My little daughter was greeted with big smiles and she enjoyed it just as much - having a blast just rolling around on the couch we sat on. I will definitely come back in the future!

Booked a night before the air show. Staff offered free parking so it was a done deal! Had a family room, clean and modern (bit on the small side). Kids loved the swimming pool, pool table and table tennis and I loved the proximity to the sea and pier. Breakfast was really good, it was very busy but the service was faultless. Great stay and I will return to this hotel when back in Bournemouth!

Beautifully decorated rooms, very clean. The hotel is located uphill, we had a good exercise for our legs going up and down. Staff is friendly and polite. Breakfast was good, has quite a few options to choose from. They also have a swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi at no extra cost. Will definitely go back soon.

Nice hotel, very clean, good service and food was good. It's the detail I look at, one of the bulbs was out in the chandelier type ceiling light. Trivial I know but it's the finer detail that makes up the bigger picture when it comes to having comfort and knowing that care is being taken, even for the smallest detail.

We had a celebration at Collingwood Hotel for my husbands birthday. We had a Sunday roast. The food was very very good. There were ten of us, all family, we didn't leave until 6.30pm. Table tennis & pool tables for the children made the day a hit with them.
