As a new person to the area I was keen to find a trustworthy mechanic. I found Pete to be knowledgable as well as honest. They quickly sorted out my MOT and advised me of any necessary work. This is a traditional garage with reputable workers who have clearly been in the industry for many years I would highly recommend and will continue to use Foundry garage for future work.

Brilliant very helpful, my motorcycle battery failed I pushed the bike into Foundry garage and a mechanic (fellow biker) jump started the bike in minutes. I recommend highly, thanks guys.

I received service over and above what was expected. Peter fitted me in for an MOT on the spot, when I told him that I'd just realised it had expired, and I had to drive back home from Somerset to the Bournemouth area.

Absolutely awful company. Charged 1.25hours for essentially 15 minutes work. Called up and was told someone would get back to me... 4 calls later and finally managed to get through to the owner. He informed me that the time was charged for removing a wheel (which wasnt completely necessary but fair enough) which took 15 minutes apparently. A reputable garage taking 15 minutes to remove a wheel? Think they need new employees! He also informed me time was charged for retesting the vehicle (which is non chargeable by DVSA rules). The work carried out was a CV Boot Clip (just the clip!) and a stop light bulb. Over an hour to do the two jobs which both could have realistically been PRS'ed (see MOT guide) . When questioned with the owner, he said if i didnt like it, dont go there ever again and he put the phone down on me.I am an MOT tester, unable to test own vehicles, hence taking it to Foundry Garage. Will never return again.

The Foundary team were very helpful, sorting out a sudden juddering and some significant knocking (3 worn tyres - 1 that would probably have blown and a worn anti roll link) very quickly. They fitted my car in at very short notice (it had been an emergency trip from London to Somerset and I needed to return the next day), and kept me informed all the way through so that I knew what the problems aware and what the resolution would be. The charges were very reasonable. Thank to everyone at Foundary for helping me out.

I was directed to Foundry's this past Spring by The Abbey Garage after they failed my MOT, because they didn't have VW diagnostics to sort it. I was so impressed by Peter and his team, not only did he sort out my reason for the failed MOT, he called me the next day to make sure The Abbey Garage made good on their promise to pass my MOT. Customer service bar none. I have been back to Peter twice after this, every time, he and his team have exceeded my expectations and I feel like I am in good, honest hands. Peter and his amazing team have been a complete blessing to find. Thank you!

Very highly recommended. I left my car with them with a broken cambelt. Upon investigation, they discovered water contamination which, it turned out, was the primary cause of the cambelt failure. They regularly kept me informed and showed me the broken cambelt, a water-logged air filter, rusty injectors and rust on other engine components. A report was written by Peter Cabble (proprietor) to the insurance company explaining the water damage and this lead to the insurance company paying out the full value of the car and Foundry Garage's costs. So, if you're looking for a garage you can trust and which puts the customer first, you won't go wrong here.

Had my car booked in for an MOT here which failed on a ‘break pipe hose’ they said to me to look which I did, personally I couldn’t see anything wrong with it other than a ever so slight fraying around the top edge and a bit of dirt around the hose, no leaks or anything, however this caused me to be in a position because I needed to get it done for my car to pass.I went ahead and asked them to change it and I got charged a ridiculous £124 + the cost of an MOT for a bit of hose which probably cost a maximum of £5 and 10 minutes in labour!!!My advise is steer clear of them they are willing to use tactics like this to bump up the bill.

We were recommended these guys so many times. We managed to book our vehicle in once with them for a service, ( oil change etc) they inspected the vehicle and told us that a service would cost quite a bit, they would start by taking the suspension off and replacing it, possibly an engine rebuild, they said we wouldn't recognise the car afterwards.... We took it elsewhere, the service got done, no questions.We tried on 5 occasions to book an MOT here, each time being told they are fully booked for over a month. And the asked, have you motd here before?"... I assume from this they only allow known clients and treat others with contempt. Wouldn't recommend
